Taylor Swift keeps collecting them awards. But this time it wasn’t for music contained on one of her studio albums, it was for music contained on another artist’s album. Last year country ballad Little Big Town released their eighth studio album “The Breaker” and it contained a Taylor Swift-written song called “Better Man”, which was officially released as single. “Better Man” was nominated for the 51st Annual Country Music Association Awards and it won last night, at the live ceremony held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, “Song of the Year”. Taylor Swift, who couldn’t attend the ceremony as she was in rehearsals for her “SNL” appearance this weekend, for this specific award is given to the writers of the winning song (and she was the sole writer of “Better Man”), let the members of Little Big Town accept the award on her behalf. What Taylor did do, or actually her team did, was filmed her reaction to the category’s winner reveal. Her facial reaction was priceless!
“Better Man” is a stunning country song and it deserved that “Song of the Year” award last night at the 2017 CMAs. Much well deserved and, despite what haters say, Taylor Swift keeps WINNING.
