Scissor Sisters - 'Shady Love' (Music Video!)

Single, and video premiere on the same day? Thanks Scissor Sisters! The famed American nu-disco band have given fans a double treat today, not only premiering the audio of their brand new single called "Shady Love" on BBC Radio 1 this morning (January 2nd) but also unveiling its official music video subsequently via NME.com! Watch above! "Shady Love" was produced by German remixer Boys Noize, and features vocals, although it's more rapping than anything, from Krystal Pepsy (a special 'duo' formed by Jake Shears and DJ Jeremy Lingvall) and rising NYC raptress/singer Azealia Banks. The result is simply amazing! "Shady Love" is a total depart from the 'safe but fun' funky-sassy-dancy-glittery sound we all knew of Scissor Sisters, for something more agressive electro-beats-wise. And as I've said, there's lots of rapping. Jake Shears has surprised me! He did awesome. Overall, genius lyrics, catchy hook, and amazing beat! It'll make you get off your seat, and dance along! I guess SS's motto was, new year, new style!

As for the music video, that was directed by Hiro Murai - who's done MVs for Gym Class Heroes, B.o.B, Usher, or Lupe Fiasco - and shows a bunch of kids doing a school performance before their parents. But it's no ordinary school performance! The kids left their dads and mums speechless with their fierce piece. Those Glee actors could not! Man, I'm soooo excited for this new Scissor Sisters era!
