Sara Bareilles - King of Anything (New Song!)
Check out the premiere of Sara Bareilles's new single "King of Anything". The American singer will be releasing her third studio album - now confirmed to be called "Kaleidoscope Heart" - this September. The official first single from the new project was produced by Neal Avron (Fall Out Boy, Plan White T's) and will hit US airwaves on May 10. It's been 3 long years since the release of Bareilles' debut album, "Little Voice" which received two Grammy nominations for her triple platinum-selling hit single, "Love Song". On the new single "King of Anything", I'd say it's def a grower. Not as catchy on the first listen as "Love Song" was, but, it definitely is a nice song, with meaningful lyrics and cool piano-driven melody.
"King of Anything is sort of a 'f**k you' song," jokes Bareilles. "I've had more unsolicited advice on my life than I care to mention, and this was how I dealt with it. It felt empowering to turn that frustration into music, especially a song that doesn't even sound angry. That's sort of what 'Love Song' was as well. Apparently, I don't get over things very quickly."
