A theater, contemporary dancers, and views of London; that’s pretty much the summary of Sam Smith’s music video for “One Last Song”, the official second single from the British singer songwriter’s “The Thrill of It All” album. The music video premiered this Wednesday morning on VEVO. The video opens with Sam Smith, wearing an interesting fashion choice, in the middle of stage singing the first lines of “One Last Song” before proceeding to the backstage, where he will encounter contemporary dancers rehearsing and stretching. Then Sam will make his way to the rooftop of the theater he’s in one floor at a time, not forgetting to sing every lyric of “One Last Song” on every step. Once at his destination, Sam will conclude his new music video staring straight into the camera lens and letting us appreciate a cloudy image of the Palace of Westminster and the Big Ben in the back.
Sam Smith wrote on Instagram the following about the “One Last Song” music video premiere:
“I am so excited to reveal the music video for my second single 'One Last Song'. This track is my final love song directed to an old love of mine. I love singing this and I had so much fun making the video. After a 25 hour shoot, I truly believe we created something beautiful x”
We adore the song and this music video was definitely captivating. We can’t wait to catch Sam on tour next year.
