Are you kidding me? Rixton’s debut album “Let The Road” isn’t out in the UK yet? For real? I really thought it was already out over there too! (it became available in the US back in March).

“Let the Road” won’t be out in Rixton’s home country until June 8. Crazy, right?

Anyhow, in view the “hype” for their album has sharply decreased in the UK, Rixton have recently released a new single from the set; the groovy “We All Want The Same Thing”. UK’ers will be able to individually purchase this song on iTunes starting June 7 – uh-huh, just a day before the album comes out over there. Will the new Rixton single hit #1 in the UK? Could be. But they REALLY have to do promo this time as it won’t be like “Me and My Broken Heart” hitting number 1 without it last year. This year Rixton’s popularity in the UK isn’t the same and should they not promote “We All Want The Same Thing” on TV, it’ll certainly miss the top position.

Rixton go to “SOUL TRAIN”

Today, May 13, the official music video for “We All Want The Same Thing” premiered on VEVO. And it’s pretty cool!

Directed by Emil Nava, the MV sees the guys of Rixton arriving at a television studio for the taping of a live performance. Little to they know that the second they pass the curtains hiding the TV show’s set they will be transported back in time to the 70s to the legendary program “Soul Train” where African-American music lovers danceed their behinds off to hit soul/funky songs of the period.

Instead of freaking out and running away, Rixton act like pros and perform the show they were booked for; giving the “Soul Train” crowd a performance they will remember.

What do you think of the video?
