Rebecca Ferguson Makes This 2013 New Zealand Hit “Bones” Her Own: Hear Her New Single!
Ginny Blackmore will be feel both happy and furious once she listens to Rebecca Ferguson’s cover of her 2013 #1 New Zealand hit “Bones”.
“The X Factor UK” alum and Liverpool native Ms. Ferguson will be releasing her fourth studio album called “Superwoman” on October 14th in the UK and this cover of Ginny’s “Bones” song will serve as the lead single.
Rebecca’s version premiered today on BBC Radio 2 and it will hit digital platforms tomorrow, September 2nd.
Why do I say Ginny Blackmore will be feel both happy and furious once she hears Rebecca’s version of “Bones”? Happy because she will see that Rebecca has done justice to her song, and furious because she will unfortunately see that Rebecca has IMPROVED her original take.

The instrumentation Rebecca has added to the song combined with her deep soulful vocals and a great dose of signature Rebecca Ferguson raw emotion result into the version I think “Bones” was meant to have from the very beginning. It’s like in an ideal world Ginny should’ve sold the song to Rebecca in the first place.
Rebecca’s version is big, big, BIG!
What a pretty way to say to your lover to come and embrace you to feel his/her warmth is “Come and lay your bones down with me”.
