Random: Kelly Clarkson Performs Live Concert at 2014 "Miss Vietnam" Pageant
How random was this? Kelly Clarkson was the musical entertainer at the 2014 edition of "Miss Vietnam" on Saturday night (Dec. 6). She performed three of her biggest hits live from the Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort on the southern island of Phu Quoc (no idea where this is but I bet it’s an awesome place to go on vacation).
It looks like pageant organizers were in need of an international pop superstar to add some music intermissions to the televised event and thought of no one else better than Kween Kelegend Klarkson to fill the spot. Why HER, though? That is THE question, I mean, I have major love for Kelly, and I’m thrilled to see her performing live gigs again, but I’m just majorly surprised at the pageant's choice of musical guest. Kelly just become a mother this summer, she’s still recuperating and the only concerts she’s performed after baby girl River Rose Blackstock was born have been select ones for Microsoft (as part of a marketing deal Kelly signed with the company). So how exactly did "Miss Vietnam" execs make Kelly agree to do a live show so far away from home? I’m just surprised at this gig, y’all. I must suppose they offered Kelly a ridiculous amount of money. And another thing is, why choosing Kelly when there are currently other pop superstars more “active” than her (who hasn’t had a baby 5 months ago)? Maybe the president of the pageant is a huge Kelly Clarkson fan and he wanted Kelly and Kelly only as this year's musical entertainer.
Anyways, on Saturday evening live from VIETNAM Kelly Clarkson performed three songs on "Miss Vietnam". These were: “A Moment Like This”, “Stronger” and “Because of You”. Kelly may still need to lose a few pounds to look as hot as before but in the “vocals department” she’s still the queen. She did amazing!
