Psy Parties 'Gangnam Style' On 'Today'
Wow, he's making it big, baby! Having made appearances at the VMAs, and 'Ellen' - where he taught the one and only Britney Spears a few dance moves - K-pop star Psy took the Rockefeller Plaza stage of NBC's 'The Today Show' on Friday (September 14) in NYC to perform live his global smash hit "Gangnam Style" before hundreds and hundreds of...fans (?). As of this post, "Gangnam Style" sits at #2 on iTunes USA and me figures it won't take much longer for the crazy Korean party anthem to hit the top spot, allowing Psy to finally say; 'Yep, I've truly cracked America!'. The Billboard Hot 100 chart is another thing though. Psy's catchy single has so far only peaked at #64 there...but just give it time! "Gangnam Style" is here to stay. It's like the new 'Party Rock Anthem'. Besides watching Psy's giving his all on his 'Today' performance below (btw, well thought by the show to move the native South Korean fans the closest to the stage to avoid any awkwardness when none of the Americans would sing the lyrics of the verses), Psy also taught the 'Today' anchors the signature dance steps of "Gangnam Style". LOL. The things NBC pays them to do! Fun stuff tho.
