Nicki Minaj hosted the 2014 MTV EMAs on Sunday, November 9 but also performed. She did a medley of hits that consisted of “Superbass” and “Anaconda”, but Onika also found time to introduce a brand new track off “The Pink Print” (out December 15). Titled “Bed of Lies”, the heart-felt mid-tempo rap-pop song is said to be the next “mainstream” single from Her Minajesty’s upcoming album after “Anaconda”. During the medley, Nicki Minaj performed a 2-minute snippet of the song. Hear the ripped live audio of the “Bed of Lies” performance below!!!

“Bed of Lies” snippet review

The new Nicki Minaj song features Skylar Grey singing and playing the piano in the chorus. “But do you ever think of me when you lie?” wonders the “Love the Way You Lie” writer in “Bed of Lies”. Nicki poured all of her repressed emotions in the little verse she rapped. “Couldn't believe that I was home alone contemplating overdosin’” narrates Nicki in her powerful and shocking verse. Did she really have to endure this? Wow.

Dying to hear this in full to check out what Nicki has to say in the other verse!!! “Bed of Lies” is definitely on the pop side of “The Pink Print” next to “Pills N Potions”. In fact, both tracks sound like had been cut from the same cloth. So, would it be a good idea for Nicki to choose “Bed of Lies” as her next mainstream single? I mean, “Pills N Potions” didn’t have the best chart performance, and some labeled it a “commercial disappointment by Nicki’s standards”.

Sounds like a hit?
