The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States granted legendary musican Bruce Springsteen the 2013 'MusiCares Person Of The Year' award and threw him a celebratory gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 8...Check out pictures now!
Many stars of the US music industry attended the ceremony that offered both a banquet and live performances. "Wide Awake" singer Katy Perry - who looked radiant in an orange dress - ran into 2000's 'MusiCares Person Of The Year' awardee Elton John and BFF Bonnie Mckee, who is currently working with Katy in the studio writing a few hits for her "Teenage Dream" follow-up album. Ms Mckee is a beautiful girl, no doubt about that, but she should really think about changing that terrible 'signature' hair color. It takes her beauty away. Also, make sure to catch Bonnie's new single "Sleep Walker" soon!
Also at the Los Angeles Convention Center was Lana del Rey. The "Ride" singer channeled her inner Princess Leia on Friday. She's too a pretty lady, but that copper dress made her look even more 'dead'. Meanwhile, last night was the 're-surface' of Dixie Chick's Natalie Maines who we haven't seen in a very long time. The 38-year-old will release later in 2013 her debut solo album "Mother" - via Columbia Records - which surprisingly won't be a country-oriented project, but a rock 'n roll one. Risky move!
Boys were also in attedance at the Bruce Springsteen honoring gala. R&B star John Legend walked the red carpet alongside her fianceé, model Christine Teigen. And finally, country music heartthrob Hunter Hayes and indie/pop rock singer Jason Mraz decided to be the 'cool' guys at the even by adding 'casual' detailings to their 'formal' looks with either a pair of sneakers or a vintage hat.
