Original Version of Chris Brown's "Counterfeit" Featuring Rihanna Leaks - Listen Now!

rihanna and chris brown new song Counterfeit

Listen now before it's too late to the original version of Chris Brown's "Counterfeit" song featuring his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The two recorded this around the same time of "Nobody's Business", a song from the Barbados-born singer's 2012 album "Unapologetic". Back then, the former lovers were still in good terms. Chris Brown was saving "Counterfeit" for his next album, "X", but it kept being delayed by his label. Now it's 2014, and "X" has a set release date of May 5th, and Chris Brown will finally be including "Counterfeit". However, not the version with Rihanna. Her and Breezy Boy aren't "buddies" anymore, and Chris felt it was the best decision to remove Rihanna's vocals from "Counterfeit" and replace with another female's so he could put the slow jam on his new album without any problem. Kelly Rowland will be replacing Rihanna.

Kelly instead of Rihanna? I like the Destiny's Child star but I can't imagine her singing on this. Chris should've gotten someone more exciting like Rita Ora or Nicki Minaj! Anyway, "Counterfeit" isn't a super-hot song though. The original version of the track featuring Rihanna (and Wiz Khalifa) leaked online in full on February 22. It's an OK track. Album song only, that's for sure. Rihanna should've sung more on it too. The hook is kind of alright. Now let's see how Kelly fares on the final edit.
