Now It’s Miguel Singing “Crazy In Love” In The “Fifty Shades Darker” Trailer…

Totally shaking about this trailer!

Yes, I might have the worst taste ever when it comes to movies, but hey! I had a lot of fun watching the first one.

So the nice people at Universal Pictures finally unveiled the “Fifty Shades Darker” official trailer today (Sept. 13).

The trailer for the upcoming movie adaptation of the 2012 erotic romance novel by British author E. L. James, which will hit theaters on Valentine’s Day 2017, give us a 2-minute glimpse of how the relationship of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele has evolved and a shirtless scene of Jamie Dornan too.

Throughout the entire trailer, we hear R&B crooner Miguel singing Beyoncé’s legendary song “Crazy In Love” - which was already featured on the trailer of the first movie. “If it ain't broke, don't fix it” applied here?

Unfortunately, I don’t find Miguel’s “Crazy In Love” version to be that slaying… or at least it doesn’t seem to be doing it for me on this particular trailer. Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” (the darker version) worked out really great on the trailer of the first movie - it helped set the tone for the entire trailer - and I was simply left amazed. Miguel’s version is good, in the sense it is very well sung, but it's kind of 'not good' also because it just didn't left me feeling amazed on this trailer. He totally could've done it better! Felt overconfident maybe?

PS: Don’t want to sound shady but… wasn't The Weeknd available? Unfortunately for Miguel, The Weeknd has stolen most of his fans (the problem of having a similar tone of voice) ever since he got big, and that is a fact, so maybe he could've been a better candidate for the trailer?

Thoughts?
