The 19-year-old American singer performed her Bob Dylan cover "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go" on Monday (February 6th) on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'. She slayed big time! Flawless, flawless, flawless! Miley's got such a perfect country voice, she should undoubtedly record a full album of that genre at least once in her career. Btw, 'Ellen' will see live performances by some of the musicians who participated in the album "Chimes of Freedom", a new CD collection featuring the songs of Bob Dylan, in honor the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International, throughout February, so fingers crossed we get to see Ke$ha doing her rendition of "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" next. British boyband One Direction took the stage at ITV 1's 'Dancing on Ice' on Sunday (February 5th) to perform two songs from their debut album "Up All Night"; the smash hit "What Makes You Beautiful" and 1D's brand new single "One Thing", which gets the official retail release in the UK next March 13th. Great performances! On a curious note, on the 'WMYB' performance, favourite 1D member, Zayn Malik gets to do Harry Styles solo during the second verse. What's up with that? Is SyCo planning to give Zayn more spotlight in the band? Yeah they should, lol, but this was so shady of totally ditching Harry in his own original verse. Oh, and it seems the audience at the 'Dancing on Ice' studio was all One Direction fans, cause at the beginning of the 'One Thing' performance you could totally hear girls singing/screaming along the lyrics. 1D Power! Hopefullly they're planning on taking their music to the US soon. They'd be a hit there.

HAWT country-pop singer Jessie James has premiered the music video for "When You Say My Name", the first single from her upcoming sophomore album due out later in 2012! I just loooove this song! Too freakin' cute! I know it's very country, but hopefully US country radios will give country Jessie a chance, and play her new record. Most likely everyone was expecting Jessie James to come out with a "Wanted" 2.0 (her biggest hit yet) but she made it clear that she's a "country girl at heart", putting her foot down country music is in fact her thing, and that she wouldn't be comfortable just recording pure pop songs.

That aside, I'm really really rooting for "When You Say My Name" guys, it's a simple, but ultra cute & catchy, country/pop-ish tune that surely deserves some Billboard Hot 100 love. As for the newly-premiered Kristin Barlowe-directed music video, it perfectly captures the essence of the song. It shows Jessie just hanging in her house, in a sexy pijama, feeling really happy about the beginning of a new relationship. She's so crazy in love, she just can't help but jumping on the sofa, dancing with a broom, or just doing silly stuff with her boyfriend. The clip ends with the BF surprising Jessie with a romantic dinner outside the house, but all they wanna do is dance closely, and hold each other. Awww!

I kinda like this! Taking Amber Rose's debut single "Fame" didn't exactly blow up on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and radios weren't especially fond of it, it was expected the American model-socialiate-and-now-singer would make a profound change of strategy. "Fame" was all about a sweet girl who suddenly got famous but who didn't really love that life, LOL, who did Amber want to fool? She loves her bling, bling, her private jets, drinking Cristal, and spending a million bucks in a day! That's why Ms Amber Rose is bringing out her inner slut in her next single "Loaded". Amber sings in her best Ke$ha tune, and borrows a few of LMFAO's electro beats. Okay, don't hate me, but I'm kinda diggin' this. I think we all knew "Fame" was not the real Amber, so good she's coming out honest in "Loaded". The song is catchy, and although I would not bet on it selling more than 100 copies, me thinks it could do some damage on the club scene.

Pop star Jessie J continues the promotion of her newest single "Domino", the Dr Luke-produced catchy tune which has in the last weeks surge in sales, and is currently crawling its way up worldwide charts, most notably on the iTunes Top 10s of the US, and UK. Jessie J performed "Domino" everywhere on TV when the track was still difficult to hear on radio, and I clearly remember that her X Factor US performance (Nov. 2011) didn't help much sales-wise, but surprisingly a couple months later "Domino" is now a huge hit.

So, it's good to see Jessie J back on promotion mode. The Essex girl performed the song on Saturday (February 4th) on ITV 1's 'The Jonathan Ross Show' in the UK, and she nailed it! Looking casual in a ripped t-shit, jean shorts, and boots ensemble, Jessie J mesmerized everyone with the energy, and good-vibe oozing from "Domino", and of course her killer vocals! Wow at the last notes! Watch Jessie's interview with Jonathan Ross below too. She talks her foot injury, her music, studying at the same school with Adele, among other things. Btw, fingers crossed she heads back to America now to back "Domino" up there too. I know she can make the song at least a Billboard Top 5 hit!

American indie folk band Bon Iver, nominated in the 'Best New Artist' category for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, took the stage on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" this weekend (episode hosted by Channing Tatum) to perform two songs; "Beth/Rest" along with "Holocene" off their self-titled 'Bon Iver, Bon Iver' debut album. Man, these guys are good! It's sad though that after all the critics praise, Bon Iver don't get to perform at this month's Grammy ceremony. I mean, the band WAS asked to perform at this awards show, but as part of a performance with another artist, an idea frontman Justin Vernon did not like; "We wanted to play our music, but were told that we couldn't play. We had to do a collaboration with someone else". Not cool! I guess Vernon's calling the Grammys 'ridiculous' last year was not wrong at all.

Hellooo? Video of the year already? Our beloved Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam, aka M.I.A has world premiered the music video for her brand new single, the Danja-produced "Bad Girls" - The track was first included on Maya's "Vicki Leekx" mixtape, and it's been now re-worked to service it as the lead single from the British star's new studio LP, coming out later in 2012. The song is fire!

As for the newly-premiered MV featuring a high-dose of gritty visuals, it was directed by Romain Gavras (who also shot the critically-acclaimed video for "Born Free"), and was filmed in Ouarzazate, Morocco. And the VMA for video of the year goes to...M.I.A, "Bad Girls"!!! *claps* *claps* Seriously, this video is everything!! Btw, constantly during the shooting poor M.I.A was scared for her life. The clip features so many daring car stunts that had M.I.A just terrified! She said, "In my mind I was thinking how I was gonna deliver the video with no legs." lol. Thankfully, she made it. "Bad Girls" may not be a radio-friendly tune, but it certainly deserve the praise of everyone, along with the MV!

The more I hear this song, the more I love it! British pop star Alexandra Burke has premiered the music video for "Elephant", the first single from her upcoming sophomore album, coming out later in 2012 via RCA Records! "Elephant" is a killer dance/pop track, produced by Colombian DJ Erick Morillo, that no doubt will be hit at the clubs...and hopefully on the UK Singles Chart as well. "Elephant" is set to see a retail release on March 12th. As for the newly-premiered MV, eh, well, it obviously could've been so much better, and I think "Elephant" deserved a mind-blowing visual, but Alex got a tight budget from her label and she had to make magic with it. Everything happens at an abandoned warehouse where Alex and her friends have a blast partying all night. It's an MV packed with sexy outfits and energetic choreographies. Enjoy!

American singer-songwriter Eric Turner, best known for his work with Tinie Tempah on the hit single "Written In The Stars" and Lupe Fiasco on the anthemic "Break The Chain", is moving forward with the release of his own single, the lead cut from his upcoming debut album, due out in mid-2012 on Capital Records. Eric's single is called "Angels & Stars", it was produced by Eshraque "iSHi" Mughal (the same guy who helmed 'Written') and for this special song on Eric's career, he enlisted the help of the two rappers he'd collaborated in the past, that's right, "Angels & Stars" features Tinie and Lupe. A representation from the best rap in the UK and US. The song has a similar production to 'Written' (duh...) but I guess it has less catchiness. Overall, it sounds to me as a radio hit but we'll have to wait and see how the US accepts this. As for the newly-premiered PR Brown-directed MV, it's a graphic-heavy effort, that I think you'll like!

This song is just so epic! Coldplay premiered on Friday (Feb 3) the music video for "Charlie Brown", the latest single from the Chris Martin-led rock band's fifth studio album "Mylo Xyloto" - The Mat Whitecross-directed MV sees the Coldplay guys performing a concert at an undisclosed small venue before a lucky group of fans wearing the flashing 'Xyloband' bracelets (given out at Coldplay's latest gigs), and just feeling free, dancing the night away in an environment of black light, and glowing painting.

Love this! I think it captures perfectly the 'epic' feeling from the "Charlie Brown" production, and Chris' empowering lyrics "All the boys, all the girls, All the madness in the world, We'll start glowing in the dark". Btw, I'm still not sure for which market is "Charlie Brown" intended for as a single. The UK I'm guessing. Because Coldplay and Rihanna are playing 'Princess of China' at the 2012 Grammys, so that's gonna be the new US single. Mmm, I'm really hoping "Charlie Brown" doesn't get overshadowed. This is a much better song, and Coldplay deserve to promote it accordingly.

Check out the official music video for Adam Lambert's "Better Than I Know Myself" song which world premiered via VEVO on Friday (February 3rd) - The Dr Luke-produced, and Claude Kelly-penned midtempo cut serves as the first single from the American Idol alumn's sophomore album "Trespassing" ready to hit stores in the US next March 20th. The MV was by directed Ray Kay (who shot Britney's flawless 'Till the World Ends' clip) and it shows two different characters of Ms Lambert. One sees him as a bad-tempered Adam, and the other shows him as a calm guy. I suppose the video concept goes well with the BTIKM lyrics. I approve. Btw, while I was watching this, I was saying to myself, what does this reminds me of? And voila! It was Ashlee Simpson's 'Shadow' clip. When is she releasing a new album anyway? Love her.

American rock The All-American Rejects have unveiled the music video for "Beekeeper's Daughter", the first single from their upcoming fourth studio album entitled "Kids in the Street", set to be released on March 27th, 2012. The Issac Rentz-directed visual (Blink-182, Cage The Elephant) opens with the band frontman Tyson Ritter being turned down by his love interest, and instead of crying a river about it, or getting wasted at a local bar, Tyson gets his mood up by performing his favorite new songe "Beekeeper's Daughter" while going down a street, flirting with any female dancer or girl he runs into. The video is very Broadway musical you'll see. I think it was filmed either at the Universal Studios in L.A or at the Fox Studios in NYC.

What do YOU think of the music video/song?

I don't get it...her debut album "Heaven" has sold over 400k copies to date in the UK, she beat X Factor winner Marr Cardle, and over-hyped act Cher Lloyd on first-week sales, and has been described by many as 'potentially better than Leona Lewis', and still Rebecca Ferguson's record label can't give her a wider budget for a music video? SMH. Liverpool's classy songbird unveiled on Thursday (February 2nd) the official visual for her new single "Too Good to Lose", follow-up to Becca's "Nothing's Real But Love" hit and 2nd offering lifted from "Heaven". Excellent choice I must say. The song is fire, plus it gives me Clare Maguire/Keyshia Cole teas. However, the MV is so boring. Rebecca looks stunning, yes, but all she does is walk and walk through a Los Angeles street, and then down a beach promenade, all while working out a pretty summery long red dress. Ehh..I mean it does the job for creating a nice visual aesthetic to go with the song I guess, but come on, the video could have been so much more. Anyway, keep up the strong sales Becca!

Long live the King! R.Kelly proves true R&B isn't dead with "Share My Love", the official first single off the 45-year-old icon's 11th studio album "Write Me Back", due out in March 2012! The feel-good song was premiered on Wedneday (February 1st) via R.Kelly's VEVO page on YouTube, and will make its official impact on iTunes next February 14th (Valentine's Day). Wow, "Share My Love" is just effortlessly amazing. Such a simple song, but so cleverly executed. Love the lil' 70s feeling, and of course R.Kelly's flawless singing. Nice job Rob! Can't believe I'm saying this, I mean we're in 2012 where other music genres are reigning, but I'm really looking forward to this 'Write Me Back' album by R.Kelly. I guess since the latest R&B efforts in the industry have been so disappointing, I'm kinda needing a good fix ASAP.

What do YOU think of R. Kelly's new single?

The always lovely Pixie Lott stopped by the BBC Radio 1 studios in London on Tuesday (January 31st) to perform an intimate set for the 'Live Lounge' series - The 21-year-old British star did two songs there; the first one being her brand new single "Kiss the Stars", off the 'Young Foolish Happy' album, and the second being a cover of the Lloyd hit "Dedication to My Ex", which was a huge hit in the UK peaking at #3. Pixie slayed with her 'Kiss the Stars' rendition - I just love this song so much - but with the Lloyd cover, I felt the instrumental kind of messed up her performance. It was just too loud, overshadowing Pixie's vocals. Plus, me thinks it would have been better if she had gone for a full stripped-back rendition.

What do YOU think of Pixie's 'Live Lounge' performances?

Yes! They slayed! K-pop's very own, nine-piece girl group Girls' Generation made their US television debut last night on CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman' with a high-energy performance of their single "The Boys" - The fierce electro-pop song is taken from SNSD's third Korean album of the same name, whose English version was recorded by the girls (Jessica Jung, Sunny, Tiffany, Kim Hyoyeon, Kwon Yuri, Choi Sooyoung, Im Yoona and Seohyun) to introduce the Girls' Generation name in the US, prior to their official US debut (new single, and full album) later on. "The Boys" is already on iTunes, and what better way to get your band's name in America by performing on one of the top television shows.

Let's keep it simple, SNSD killed it! The choreography was executed perfectly, loved the new arrangement for the NEW dance breaks, and on the 'vocal' side, yeah, they mostly resorted to singing over the playback, but considering all they had to do on stage, and the more than expected nerves, I think it's justified. Oh, and I hope they can get bigger stages for their next performances in America. Poor Sunny almost collided with that keyboard on the left at one point, other girls almost bumped one another, and overall the dancing did not shine all that we know it can.

I just can't with the amount of SNSD slayage we've gotten in less than 24 hours! Making their last tv performance in America as part of a super short promo trip, K-pop hit band Girls' Generation performed their single "The Boys" on 'Live! With Kelly' on Wednesday morning (February 1st). Another killer show! They opted to perform the original edit this time though, without the new dance breaks. It looks like the girls feel more comfortable doing this version 'cause the choreo looked more polished today. I guess it also helped the fact the stage was a bit bigger, haha.
