British singer-songwriter and record producer Labrinth has recently unveiled via VEVO the official music video in support of "Express Yourself", the fourth single off the Londoner's debut album "Electronic Earth". Let's get the negative out of the way first: "Express Yourself" is so much weaker than Labrinth's previous singles, therefore you can imagine my surprise when I found out this was his next release, and later seeing that 'Britain's Got Talent' *huge-opportunity* performance go to waste. Labrinth has only ONE good song left - a real smash! - on his album and that is the Emeli Sande-assisted 'Beneath Your Beautiful'. Release that now! For "Express Yourself" is already a certified flop. It debuted at #37 in the UK. Ouch! Now let's talk the good, that is, the music video! I may not be feeling "Express Yourself", but its MV is enjoyable. It's colorful, and fun.

Young Money star Nicki Minaj makes out with rapper Nas in her new music video for "Right By My Side" -the latest single lifted from the Trinidadian's sophomore album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" - Watch above! The Chris Brown-assisted effort is one of the nicest, feel-good tunes on Nicki's LP. I just love everything about it from the melodious beat, the lyrics, to Nicki's rap/singing. Everything works so well! No doubt "Right By My Side" will be a radio hit. The song had already cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this year (just when Minaj's second album got released) thanks to digital sales only, so imagine now that it's an official single. Could it be #1? Now commenting on the Benny Boom-directed clip, it features Nicki living the good 'love' life with Nas, who plays Her Minajesty's boyfriend (I know! So random!). Outside the video story, Nicki also gets cozy with song collaborator Chris Brown. Enjoy!

English singer Taio Cruz has premiered the music video for "There She Goes", the latest single from his third studio album "TY.O"...Watch above! Although the song features rapper Pitbull on the official 'single' version, for the music video Mr Worldwide's verse has been removed. Why? I guess he couldn't make it to the video shoot. I wouldn't understand any other reason TBH. 'There She Goes' has some catchy moments, but overall falls a bit 'monotonous', and Pitbull's verse helped 'freshen' it up.

Further commenting on the MV, it sees Taio going on a heavy road trip across the desert on his convertible BMW closely followed by his girl, who prefers to do the journey riding a horse, lol. At night, the couple make a stop at an empty diner where they'll host a party. Loads of gorgeous models will attend! Check it out! The RedOne-produced 'There She Goes' will be officially releaed in the UK on June 10th.

Legendary rock diva Alanis Morissette made the world premiere performance of her new bright guitar-pop jam "Guardian" last night (May 15th) during the results show of ABC's 'Dancing With The Stars'...Watch above! Alanis flawlessly sang the 'Havoc and Bright Lights' album lead single (in stores August 28) with the support of her band playing on the back, and a pair of 'DWTS' professional dancers executing an emotional choreography on the main stage. Amazing performance!! Alanis' vocals are still so good. Also, I love the fact 'Guardian' has that classic Morissette signature while still managing to sound fresh. The new single was released on iTunes USA at the same time as the debut live performance on Tuesday evening, and as of this post, 'Guardian' sits at #54. She's coming, y'all!!

Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J Blige gets rocky on her cover of the Journey 80s hit 'Any Way You Want It', a song included on the soundtrack of the Adam Shankman-directed upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical "Rock of Ages", opening in US theaters next June 15th! Mary's song has been selected as the soundtrack's first single and saw its official 'music video' premiere on VEVO today. The clip is purely made of scenes from the actual movie in which Mary plays Justice Charlier, the owner of The Venus Club. The video is a big celebration, and big performance from all the cast.

And seeing the promotion for the 'Rock of Ages' film has already started, although there's a whole month left till the premiere, after the Mary J. Blige video premiere, the American singer took the stage on 'Dancing With The Stars' last night (May 15th) to perform along with the cast of ‘Rock Of Ages’ the classic 'Any Way You Want It'. Very energetic! That wig though, Mary...lol.

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris give us the music video in support of "Let's Go", his electro-house collaboration with Ne-Yo that serves as the lead single from the hit-maker producer's upcoming third album, arriving in stores later in 2012! "Let's Go" peaked at #2 on the UK charts earlier in May, it's featured on the latest Pepsi commercial, and it's expected to get the 'single' treatment as well in the US soon, where Calvin has established a solid reputation thanks to his recent festival gigs, and the 'We Found Love' collabo with Rihanna. "Let's Go" needs to go global! The song is HAWT. As for its accompanying MV, it follows the atypical lives of random couples in three different cities of the world: Rio, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Ne-Yo and Calvin make short cameos towards the end. Enjoy!

R&B crooner Ne-Yo is taking his chances with the official first single off his forthcoming Motown debut "R.E.D", in stores on September 18th, 2012 - The track called "Lazy Love" is a pure R&B ballad in which the American star takes a cool approach lyrics-wise of how the 'act of love' should come forward (for better pleasure). "I gotta go, that's when you've got them legs around me", sings Ne-Yo in 'Lazy Love'. For the R&B singer, having an intimate moment with your girl is best when you just gotta leave for work, or hit the shower before getting ready to go out. OK! I think 'Lazy Love' is a nice slow jam, and I truly commend Ne-Yo for not releasing a dance song (would've been the easiest route) and sticking to his R&B stuff. The vocals on the new single are hot, and I like the lyrics. Pefect for a steamy moment at the bathtub with your girlfriend. However, I just can't see this becoming a hit on the Hot 100. Ne-Yo's last biggest hit was 'Closer' in 2008, reaching at #7 in the US. And his last R&B-ish hit was 'Mad' (also from 'Year of the Gentleman'), however that song was more of a pop/r&b mid-tempo (with sublte synth elements), so it's not proper R&B. That's what I say Ne-Yo is taking his chances with 'Lazy Love', although the song is enjoyable, it just don't have that very important 'crossover radio appeal' a true hit should have, eg; 'So Sick'.

Indie/pop band Florence + The Machine have recently world premiered the music video for the 2013 Oscar-winning 'Best Original Song', the orchestral anthem "Breath of Life", a brand new Flo record featured on the soundtrack of the Rupert Sanders-directed fantasy film 'Snow White and the Huntsman' (in theaters worldwide on June 1st). "Breath of Life" is simply epic and amazing! As we would've expected, the track is a little more 'cinematic' than Florence's previous songs, but the orchestral production is certainly ACE for the dark-fantasy film. Commenting on the official 'Breath of Live' video, well, it's pretty basic, mainly featuring scenes from the actual 'Snow White and the Huntsman' film, intercut with footage of a stunning Florence Welch performing the song in a huge recording studio. Did the song deserve a high-budgeted clip? Yes, but there's nothing we can do now so. Just enjoy what we have!

Will Smith's son, Jaden (13) hasn't abandoned his music career, in fact, he's just world premiered through RyanSecreast.com a new solo rap track called "Give It To 'Em"...Check out above! In the self-penned track you'll hear Justin Bieber's buddy rapping about 'his life, riches and supremacy in the rap game'. Not bad! He's got a cool flow, and the lyrics are pretty clever. Jaden Smith is currently unsigned, but me thinks it won't take long until a label decides to add him to its roaster and launch his music career 'properly'. I mean, I don't think the age is a problem here...Jaden's 13 now, the same age in which Bow Wow released his debut album "Beware of Dog", reaching the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 100. Jaden only needs THAT breakthrough single. Maybe The Bieber can help him out?

YAS! Inna, you are hot! The Romanian singer has premiered the music video for "Caliente", the first promotional single from her upcoming third album to be released later in 2012 via Roton/Universal Music...Watch above! The sexy and catchy "Caliente" features Inna singing mainly in Spanish except for a few English lines in the chorus. I SO approve this song! Inna needed to come back to her 'original' roots, as it felt like she had lost her cool touch with the underwhelming singles from the "I Am the Club Rocker" album. With 'Caliente', Queen Inna is back to her flawless electro-pop 'sensual' style, plus the song's reminiscing to her smash hit "Un Momento", one of Inna's best songs ever, and I'm thinking the new single will keep opening doors for Inna in the Mexican and rest of Latin American market. Go girl!

On the recently-unveiled 'Caliente' music video, this was filmed in a heavenly beach in Costa Rica, and sees Madonna's ex, model Jesus Luz acting as Inna's love interest. The Romanin singer walks through the white sand beaches and crystalline waters, also showing us other breath-taking sites like coastal caves and waterfalls, all while she's striking sexy poses and looking stunning in golden and black dresses. HOT!

American singer Usher took the 'SNL' stage last night (May 12th) on the Will Ferrell-hosted episode to perform two songs from his forthcoming album "Looking 4 Myself", available in stores worldwide next June 12th (RCA Records)! The Texas-native star showed his eclectic side by performing two songs different in genre; his sexy R&B slow jam "Climax", and his new pop single "Scream" on the hit NBC programme. Usher killed iT!! Although, while I'm not against Usher's idea of keeping it real simple, 'spectacle' wise, and just focusing on the vocals (which were fire btw), I do think he should've added some elaborate choreography to the 'Scream' performance. The song is being sold as the next club hit, so Usher really needs to 'attack' that target with something relatable, like a good choreography, which equals saying; "you can dance to my new song and have fun with it in the club, y'all see?".

Bien sur! Saint-Tropez, c'est paradise! French DJ Jean-Roch - who blessed us this year with the catchy dance/pop Pitbull & Nayer-featured track "Name of Love" - has now released a brand new single from his debut studio album "Music Saved My Life", available in stores in French-speaking European countries as of March 2012. DJ Roch's new single is called 'Saint Tropez' and features rapper Snoop Dogg. The song is uber cheesy, yet somewhat enjoyable. Jean-Roch sings the verses in a funny voice repping big time for the French beach town in the lyrics, while a random girl sings the semi-catchy hook (in 'Voyage, Voyage' vintage style), and Snoop Dogg throws in a good but unnecessary rap verse towards the end. I wonder how much did Jean-Roch pay the American MC to feature on this?. In any case, I don't think the French DJ/producer 'exploited' Snoop all that he could. Jean-Roch should've created a song ala David Guetta's 'Sweat', with a cool fist-pumping club production, and Snoop taking all the spotlight. That'd have been more interesting than this 'Saint Tropez' record I'm sure.

Now as for the new single's MV (watch above), it takes us on a tour throughout the heavenly beach town of Saint Tropez - which Beyonce and Jay-Z visit every summer, all intercut with scenes of Jean-Roch and Snoop Dogg singing/rapping astonished by the breahtaking views, and enjoying the town's night life. Oh, famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld makes a cameo in the video. Check it out!

British singer Natalia Kills sings the main vocals in Swiss DJ Tatana Sterba's brand new single 'You Can't Get In My Head'...whose music video just premiered online...Watch above! Wow...Nat-Nat gets ultra kinky and sexy in the low-budget visual. It basically sees Ms Kills going wild letting all her raunchiest fantasies come alive. That is, making out with and groping on her boyfriend - an Abercrombie-looking kinda dude - in all the imaginable ways in a photo booth. Very racy MV indeed...but it's what the lyrics are all about, so I approve. BTW, how stunning and beautiful Natalia Kills is...it's just ridiculous! Back to 'You Can't Get In My Head', the song, I'm not sure when it's getting released, or where, but I don't think it's something that we'll see topping the charts anyways. That said, I can see it doing good in the UK club scene for instance.

Rising Harlem rapper Azealia Banks has just premiered the first single from her upcoming mixtape 'Fantastic', dropping online this summer! Co-produced by Hudson Mohawke and Nick Hook, the 20-year-old female MC spits in "Jumanji" her electrifying verses over a fresh-sounding steel drums beat. Dope stuff! She IS undoubtedly the future! Azealia goes IN hard in 'Jumanji'. I just love her flow SO much. In addition to her mixtape, Ms Banks will release in the summer of 2012 her full-length debut 'Broke With Expensive Taste'. Her fantastic single '212' is being released on radios in the US on May 22nd, so I'm looking foward to see Azealia doing heavy promotion (TV, radio, everywhere) as that song deserves to be big there!

Pop diva Jennifer Lopez and Season 7 winner David Cook performed their newest singles live on Thursday's results show of 'American Idol'...Watch videos now! First up was the 29-year-old Texas rocker who took the FOX talent show stage to debut his brand new single "The Last Song I'll Write for You". The mid-tempo rock tune is not included on David's 2011 album "This Loud Morning", so what we are hearing may be the first single off his upcoming third studio project. "The Last Song I'll Write for You" is a pretty solid release! In fact, after the 'Idol' performance, Mr Cook's new single got in the Top 50 on the iTunes USA chart.

Later on Thursday night, sexy latina Jennifer Lopez gave us the first televised performance of her RedOne-produced dance/pop hit "Dance Again"....That was amazing!! I can't at the opening being so captivating, J.Lo's fake live vocals being so good, the whole dancing being so fierce, and the cute chemistry between Jennifer and her toy-boy Casper Smart during their 'intimate' break. She killed it!! Oh, and thank God she did the solo version, and left out Pitbull for once. "Dance Again" climbed 5 spots this week on the Hot 100 going up to #20, and it's back again on the Top 10 on iTunes USA after the 'Idol' performance. Go gurl!

Brit boyband One Direction tease fans with the premiere of one peformance video from their upcoming 'Up All Night: The Live Tour' DVD, in stores on May 16th! The VEVO-premiered clip is the live performance of 1D's new single "More Than This", an emotional mid-tempo ballad written by Jamie Scott (JLS, Enrique Iglesias). At first, this 'premiere' was announced as the official music video for the new single, but later was confirmed it was just a concert footage visual to promote the DVD. I hope One Direction film soon a proper MV for 'More Than This' cause I really like the song! Check it out.

Alanis is back! The Canadian singer-songwriter will release in 2012 a brand new album (the eighth of her career) entitled "Havoc And Bright Lights", and although the set isn't out till August 28, the lead single has found its way online...Listen above! The uplifting pop/rock tune "Guardian" will be available for all Alanis fans across the world to purchase on iTunes on May 15. "I’ll be your keep for life as your guardian, I’ll be your warrior of care, your first warden.", sings Alanis in the emotional single. Me is liking it! Great lyrics, and sweet crystal vocals by Ms Morissette. Will it be a Hot 100 smash hit? Being honest, probably not, but I hugely appreciate Alanis' compromise of only recording quality music. Anyhow, I assume she's cashing in the big money these days with the live concerts.

The one and only Nicki Minaj paid a visit to her dear friend Ellen DeGeneres on her hit daytime show on Thursday's episode (May 10th) - There the Young Money star had a sit-down interview where she spoke on influencing young fans, her amazing rise to fame, buying expensive gifts to her closest friends, car-driving, deleting her Twitter to the come back days later, among other things (like re-uniting with her two biggest fans, Rosie and Sophia!). The Trinidadian born rapper also hit the 'Ellen' stage to perform a medley of her singles "Starships" and "Right By My Side". Check it out!

What do YOU think of Nicki's latest 'Ellen' appearance?

American pop/rock Maroon 5 band have recently world premiered the music video for "Payphone", the Wiz Khalifa-assisted track which serves as the lead single from their upcoming album entitled "Overexposed", set for release on June 26th via A&M/Octone! Co-produced by Shellback and Benny Blanco, the sensible pop single "Payphone" debuted atop the iTunes chart in the US last month after the 'The Voice' live performance (and hasn't left the Top 10 ever since), it's one of the most-requested songs on radio, and on the Billboard Hot 100 the song has managed to peak at #3...so it's fair to say 'Payphone' is a SMASH.

As for the newly-unveiled Samuel Bayner-directed visual, well...first of all let's say it's always nice to watch big-budgeted videos, but all in all, I just don't get the 'Payphone' MV plot. It makes no sense IMO. It seems to me like they just wanted a lot of action and chase scenes, so they tried to make it into a story, but then it didn't really work..so. It was entertaining to watch though. And still love the song!

R&B diva Mary J Blige has premiered the music video for her new single "Why?" (featuring Rick Ross) on VEVO...Watch above! Directed by Colin Tilley, the clip sees the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul dressing up and going for a night out with her girls at an exclusive club. There, after some champagne drinking, Mary links up with featured artist rapper Rick Ross for a live performance. Hmmm, okay, not sure what Mary wanted to tell us with this video..as the concept is...wait, does it have a concept? (lol). But anyway, the important thing is that the song 'Why?" is stunning, and filled with Mary's sultry R&B vocals. It will undoubtedly flop on the charts in the US though, but I guess Blige's record label is okay with it, as the singer's latest album "My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act 1)" has been certified gold already.
