La Roux's US Television Debut on Ellen!

English electropop act La Roux has made their US television debut on Tuesday at daytime hit programme The Ellen DeGeneres Show where they performed their smash hit "Bulletproof". La Roux released their self-titled debut LP in America in September 2009 and went there to do a mini-tour across some cities during the winter but now they have officially started the TV promo, which is fundamental for every artist. They have scheduled several more televised and radio appearence in the US so this might help "Bulletproof" surge in sales and the charts. I wish nothing but the best for them 'cause they're just AWESOME!

Sean Kingston and new teen pop sensation Justin Bieber performed for the first time their newest collaboration "Eenie Meenie" at an exlusive Z100 gig at NYC's PC Richard & Son Theater on March 15th. Very nice performance! I liked the fact that they decided to do an acoustic version. They sounded great and the audience was definitely feeling the show and singing along the lyrics. "Eenie Meenie" will be officially released on March 23rd in America and it will be included on Justin's upcoming "My World 2.0" album as well as in Sean Kingston's third studio album which is due out later in 2010.

Jason Derulo performed his new single "In My Head" on George Lopez last night. With this new batch of TV performance he's been doing these days in the states, Jason will try that "In My Head" gets the #1 spot on Billboard's Singles Charts just as his previous record "Whatcha Say" did. However, this Lopez Tonight performance was not his best one vocally. The choreography was cool though.

American cable network BET hosted the 2010 edition of its annual fashion event "Rip the Runway" at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The gala was taped back February but finally aired on Monday night. Mika is back in the music scene with the release of a new song, produced by RedOne, entitled "Kick Ass" - which has been confirmed as the lead single from the soundtrack of the upcoming motion picture also entitled "Kick Ass", film adaptation of the comic book series. The new cut's music video has recently hit the Internet, and it features footage from the movie plus original scenes with Mika. Check it out.

Besides being included in this soundtrack, sources says it will also serve as the first single from Mika's third studio album to be released later in 2010. Me no likey. Perhaps with a few more plays. I think I kinda expected more for a collaboration between Mika and RedOne.

The chosen track is "Something I Forget" - which as her previous singles released in the mentioned country has been edited to include several verses in French. I looove this song as much as I love pretty much the entire of this album. And I don't mind really the French edit, Agnes still showcasts beautiful and at the same time amazing vocals. LeToya performed at the Strictly Divas concert on Sunday at The Grove of Anaheim (California). The curious part of her show was that Ms Luckett included in her setlist a Destiny's Child medley. Insteresting. Watch in the video above Letoya doing "No, No, No" and "Say My Name". I don't get it much really, she didn't the leave the girl group in the best terms plus she's more known now thanks to her solo career, plus look at it when she "performs" Say My Name, she just let the audience sing 'cause it's Beyonce doing all the verses lol.

Rapper Trina aka. Da Baddest Bit** has premiered the music video for her latest single - "Million Dollar Girl" - featuring P.Diddy and Keri Hilson. I loved the song on the first listen when I heard it months ago. I also like the fact that Trina always brings something new with each album. And having Diddy and Keri - who BTW looks stunning - is definitely a plus. The video is awesome too. The girls looked great and Diddy, well, was Diddy lol. My favourite scenes were the ones with Trina and Ms Hilson in pink with the ferraris.

Trina's fifth studio album entitled "Amazin'" comes out on May 4th via Slip-n-Slide Records.

2008 X Factor winner Alexandra Burke appeared on ITV's Ant & Dec's Push The Button on Saturday. Ms Burke performed for the millionth time her hit track "Bad Boys". The question is...why? Bad Boys is her first single, she released "Broken Heels" after that so I would have expected to sing this instead, or maybe she could have surprised us performing her next confirmed single "All Night Long", but why "Bad Boys" again? xD. Not hating, I love the song but variety is good. She rocked it as usual tho.

Mary performed her latest single "I Am" on Channel 4's "Alan Carr: Chatty Man". She looked stunning!! and sounded incredible as usual.

A new Alexandra Burke track entitled "Light of the Dreamer" has recently surfaced on the Internet. This becomes the second cut to leak from the recording sessions of Ms Burke's US edition of "Overcome". "Light of the Dreamer" was produced by Brian Kennedy - who also worked on Rihanna's "Disturbia" - and it's a big ballad where Alexandra showcasts amazing vocals. Overall, it's really nice but nothing extraordinary.

I'm happy to be hearing her new material but I'm somewhat worried that these tracks are easily leaking to the web. She and her management should really pay attention to the persons who have access to the recordings 'cause at this pace we're going to hear all the new recorded songs before the album comes out in the USA.

EPIC! Here's the premiere of the long-awaited Lady Gaga "Telephone" music video featuring Beyonce. The video was released ahead of its original "exlusive" time during E! News, instead it premiered a few hours before via Youtube's Vevo. I think the wait was worth it, because this is a mind-blowing result.

The Jonas Akerlund-directed clip picks up where "Paparazzi" left off. Gaga is in prison for the murder of her lover, but is quickly helped by Beyonce to then follow a shocking and craaazy story. No spoilers. Everything is awesome, the plot, the costumes, the colours, everything really. The only thing missing now is that the two divas perform "Telephone" live somewhere.

English singer Pixie Lott officialy released her new single "Gravity" on Monday - Pixie perfomed the song on Wednesday morning on ITV's "GMTV" - Plus an exclusive performance of "Gravity" that was taped during the lunch event of the "Turn It Up" album finally aired. on Channel 4's "Freshly Squeezed" recently. As I said in a previous post, "Gravity" is one of my favourite tracks from her latest album. Peep both videos below.

Ms Lott's debut LP "Turn It Up" is already platinum in the UK with sales over 400,000 copies.

Ludacris performed the remix of his latest single "My Chick Bad" along with rappers Diamond and Trina onstage at BET's 106 & Park on Wednesday. Great performance. I hadn't seen Trina live on a stage in a while. And as usual 106 & Park's audience was awesome. I like seeing performance from this show cause the crowd always have great energy and respond well to the artist.

According to mid-week reports Luda's new album "Battle of the Sexes" - in stores now - is on track to debut at #1 on Billboard's chart. Meanwhile "My Chick Bad" is already at #46 and the promo has just started.

A new Natasha Bedingfield track entitled "Shoot for the Stars" has recently leaked - The new cut is said to be from the recording sessions of the British singer's upcoming fourth album. Impressive song! Everything from the musical arrangement, the lyrics, the vocals, is excellent. I don't know if this song will end up becoming the 1st single from the LP but from the sound of it I'm dying to listen to Nastasha's new material.

The pop singer has been working in her forthcoming record with producers such as Wyclef Jean, Sam Sparro, Mike Elizondo, Printz Board or Ryan Tedder, where the latter has commented: "I'm gonna try and bring Natasha Bedingfield back here in the UK with some quirky, kinda weird stuff"

Amy commented to a British newspaper on the possibility of not debuting at the number one spot on the UK charts with her new album (released March 8th), and being beaten by pop band Boy Zone:

"I don't expect my album will go to the top because Boyzone have already cornered that market."

She continued: "If they get to number one it's fine. I fully expect it to happen. They were getting plenty [of] pre-orders and I don't expect to do well against them. If I did get to the top, I'd be over the moon but I'm just happy that I've got a second album out."

New rap sensation B.o.B has premiered the videoclip for his hit single "Nothin' on You" featuring Bruno Mars. The video is really ok, the ATL rapper travels the world looking for beautiful girls as the song says. The single has managed to get already to #16 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart so it's def a hit now so I think it deserved a better video with more budget. Anyway, with a better video or not as B.o.B aka Bobby Ray starts promoting "Nothin' on You" on TV and other media, it'll for sure crack the Top 10 in the states. The rapper's debut album "B.o.B Presents The Adventures of Bobby Ray" hits stores on April 27.

Teairra Mari has premiered the music video for her latest single "Sponsor" featuring Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy - The clip was shot some weeks ago at a L.A mansion. The final result looks really good. I liked the setting, the colours, and the choreo was ok too. I just hope the song does well on the charts - although that'll depend on the promo she does - as I really think Teairra is truly talented and has a great voice.

Ms Mari's heavily-delayed sophomore album "At That Point" will hit stores this Spring.

Rapper T.I celebrates his return to society with the release of a buzz single entitled "I'm Back", produced by Grand Hustle's TrackSlayerz - The Atlanta rapper was sentenced to a one year prison back in March last year, then in December '09 was moved into a halfway house in. his hometown state from where he'll finally be released in March 26th 2010. T.I had been working on new material before entering prison and according to his managment will be heading to the studio after his release. The new album is said to come out in August.

Robbie William's latest single "Morning Sun" was officially released on March 8 in the UK, and here's the premiere of the b-side track accompanying it which is titled "Elastik". I think it's great and catchy song to be simply a "B-side", this deserved "album" treatment IMO. Robbie's eighth studio album "Reality Killed the Video Star" is already double platinum in the UK for sales over 600,000 copies.

However, despite the great sales the album is obtaining, this new era won't be completely happy for Robbie. The British star's latest albums have all gotten the #1 spot on the UK's album charts but "Reality Killed the Video Star" lost its chance to become another number one hit for Robbie in its debut week to none other than boyband JLS, although it was only by a margin of less than 1%, but still.

Usher Releases "OMG" as New International Single + Unveils Official Artwork!

R&B star Usher has chosen the Will.i.am-produced track "OMG" as the first international single and therefore second US cut from his forthcoming album "Raymond vs Raymond", in stores March 29th. The singer announced the news via his Twitter account and even telling the video shoot is underway: "Shooting the video today for OMG with Will-I-Am (@iamwill). We've got something next level cooking."

Let's wait and see if "OMG" can do better than Usher's first single "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" which has only managed to peak #40 on Billboard's Hot 100. It feels like as if Usher is not finding the correct path with this new record, I don't think he has created much expectation for the fans. The first week-sales will be vital for this album. Ms Burke has said to be recording new tracks with producer RedOne but as well re-working some of the original tracks of the album. A new track from Toni Braxton's forthcoming album "Pulse" has surfaced on the Internet. The newly leaked song is titled "Caught" (Don't Take Your Hat Off) and it features none other than Golden Globe-winner Mo'Nique. This track is powerful! Toni's vocals are outstanding. But Mo'Nique's parts could be perfectly eleminated really, it adds nothing to the song IMO. I'm really looking foward to Ms Braxton's new album. It looks like it'll be a solid effort. "Pulse" hits stores on May 4th.

Adam Lambert performed his newest single "Sleepwalker" on the Tonight show with Jay Leno on Tuesday night. WOW! I'm blown away by this performance. It's just astonishing. Adam has mad vocals! Check it out especially near the end. Big props are in order to him. Good to see him keep promoting his already Gold-certified debut album "For Your Entertaintment", in stores now.

Props are in order too for Jason Derulo. The new artist - who released his debut album on Tuesday - has gotten the #1 spot with his singles "Whatcha Say" and "In My Head", in the US and the UK, respectivaly. The American singer was recently in Britain doing some promo and taped some performances for tabloid The Sun's BIZ Sessions. R&B songstress Nivea has finally premiered the music video for her new buzz single "Love Hurts". The track was officialy released on Valentine's Day back in February via Amazon. Nivea is currently working on her fourth album tentatively entitled "Purple Heart" - expected to hit stores later in 2010.

As I said in another entry, I like "Love Hurts", it shows that Nivea is going back to the sound from her older albums, which I like! On the video...there are some shots in which Nivea doesn't look good AT ALL, for instance the scenes of her laying on the floor with that tight beige outfit...no comments...but in the rest she looks fine. The video is low-budget so it is acceptable lol. Also, it's pretty clear who the main guy is, right? Anyway! I'm still looking foward for her new record.

Look what we have here! A collaboration between Kelly Rowland and Michael Buble. The duo has recorded their own version of the Bee Gees' classic "How Deep Is Your Love". The purpose behind this recording is yet unknown. As for the song, it's hot. The arrangement is clever, and they sound wonderful together. I wonder if this is for Kelly's upcoming album? La diva latina aka. Jennifer Lopez appeared last night as scheduled on NBC's Saturday Night Live. Besides hosting the first series of 2010 for the show, Jenny was the musical guest and performed two tracks from her upcoming album "Love?". Did she sing "Louboutins"? No! Did she sing "Everybody's Girl"? NO! And the latter came as a huge surprise for me. It's the confirmed next single but J.Lo decided not to perform it, not giving fans what she does best, a hot performance, with a cool chorepgraphy and fierce stage presence.

The new songs were the ballads; "Pieces" and "Starting Over". Putting aside the obvious fact that Jennifer was off key/pitchy during various parts of both performances, I gotta saying I'm loving "Pieces" so much. Jennifer's new album "Love?" will be released via a new record label later this year.

Season 8 American Idol contestant Allison Iraheta appeared earlier this week on AI's results show - The Jive Records-recording artist perfomed her latest single "Scars" off her debut album "Just Like You". Check it. I remember reading articles time ago saying Jive saw in Allison her next Kelly Clarkson and that they had no doubt she would be succesful. However, time has proved the label wrong. Allison's first album debuted at #35 selling only 32,000 copies. I personnally think Allison has amazing talent, but her record company focused wrongly her sound. Let's see if this performance on American Idol helps the album.

Also American Idol alum Katharine Mcphee was spotted this week promoting her new single, the Kara DioGuardi-penned "Terrified". This is Kat's third single from her sophomore alnum "Unbroken". Beautiful performance and is good to see her not giving up and still doing some promo. I'm so sad her new album is not doing well on the charts in the states. If people gave this record a chance they would realize how good it is. I just hope she doesn't abandon hope and keep fighting for the album. If she gets the chance to get a third album, since it seems this folk/indie style is not working, maybe she will need to go back commercial and go for a Urban/dance sound which is the new trend.

Last year's American Idol winner Kris Allen returned to the show on Thursday night to perform a rendition to The Beatle's hit "Let It Be". I'm sure the new single will start climbing positions from now on.

Here's the premiere of Shakira's new video for her new single "Gypsy" - The clip for the fourth single off "She Wolf" was shot in Barcelona a couple of weeks ago and it features Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal as the lead male protagonist - The video saw its release earlier on. Thursday via MTV Italy. Check it out.

"Gypsy" is a really cute track, but being honest I don't see it becoming a big hit. I probably would have picked "Mon Amour" as the next English release. However, I do think "Gitana", the spanish version, may achieve relevant success in Latinamerica and Spain. Commenting on the videoclip, the very first scene reminded me of Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever", LOL. Overall the clip is very nice, and the chemestry between her and Rafa was well, intense hehe.

Former Danity Kane member and now solo artist D.Woods performed earlier this week on BET's The Mo'Nique Show her song "Legalize Me" - said to be the lead single from her debut LP "The Gray Area Experience" to be released later this year. She and Dawn were my favourite singers from the band, which I have to say I'm sooo upset they had to break up. I blame you Diddy! xD Really, they were a superb group. Rihanna Does AOL Sessions!

Bajan star Rihanna has done the famous AOL Sessions in order to keep promoting her latest album "Rated R" - Riri performs the three official singles from the new LP; "Russian Roulette", "Hard" and "Rude Boy" as well as a couple of her old hits including "Disturbia" and "Take a Bow". Rihanna - who on February 20th celebrated her 22nd birthday - put on a good show for these sessions. Check out all the videos below.

The "Umbrella" singer is already thinking on the follow-up to "Rated R" - which is near to cross the 2 million copies sold worldwide. She commented to MTV News rencently that: Rihanna said the follow-up, which has no timetable set yet, will be less intense. "Rated R, I love the sound of it, in terms of the bass," Rihanna explained to MTV. "I really like the bottom, the grime of it. But if I were to combine that with more energetic, up-tempo pop records, then I think that will be a happy marriage. And that's where we'll probably go next."

R&B singer Teairra Mari's heavily-delayed album entitled "At That Point" will at last see the light of day this year (expect it somewhere in the Spring) - Teairra has shot the music video for the new single "Sponsor" featuring Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy at a Los Angeles mansion on Tuesday. She looks really nice in the pictures, and I can see there'll be a hot choreography in the video.

Jennifer Lopez' Statement on Departure from Epic

Two days ago we learned that The diva latina aka. Jennifer Lopez and her all-time record label, Epic, had parted ways. Today Jenny has finally commented on the matter, explaining the reasons and also the current status of her new album "Love?". Here's what Jennifer has said:

"I have fulfilled my contractual obligations to Sony/Epic and felt it was time to move on. It was an amicable split not as the media will paint it out to be. I have been with Sony for many years and we achieved great success together. During this period I never stopped the creative process and my album Love? will still be released in the summer of 2010 as planned."

"I know my fans have been wondering what has been going on with my album. I have been in the process of a transition and now I am happy that all the issues have been resolved and I have found a new home."

Wow! That was one intense video and Monica sings her heart out in this song. "It was the worst concert I've ever been to", one spectator said. Although starting kind of confident in the first dates of the "Nothing but Love" world tour, seems the quality of Whitney Houston's voice has gone downhill. The "legendary" diva kicked off her Australian tour in Brisbane on Monday where thousands of devoted fans saw their all-time favourite singer unable to hold a note, look constantly breathless, exhausted, and that she took excessive long pauses between songs. Ouch! I hope she can pull it together in the next shows.

There have been many reports like this now, I wonder what fans who have got tickets for upcoming gigs are thinking right now? Do you think Whitney should cancel a few dates to fully recover herself after each show?

NEWS: Jennifer Lopez Dropped From Epic Records!

Shocking news! It started as a rumor earlier on Monday but it has now been confirmed that Jennifer Lopez has been dropped frm Sony Music's Epic Records. It has been quoted as "Jennifer and Epic part ways" but that sounds too fancy for me. Apparently the big names in the music company decided Jennifer's forthcoming project "Love?" had no future, something that had been kind of proved when her single "Louboutins" failed badly in the charts, despite been given huge promotion by Epic.

This must be a really hard time for Jennifer as Epic Records has been her label for her entire music career.

However, a representative of Jennifer has confirmed the following to EW.com:

"[Jennifer] is currently negotiating with another label."

Tricky one...I wonder if "Love?" will ever see the light of day, that'd be a tough decision for any label, or if Jennifer will scrap it and record something brand new. I'm sad tho! I want "Everybody's Girl" to be released!

Here's an unreleased track by R&B diva Beyonce that has rencently leaked. The recording entitled "Baby You're The Only Man" is said to be a leftover of the "Dangerously in Love" era from back in 2002. Although Bee sounds cute, the track is very average, nothing special, and it's quite clear why it did not make the final cut. Nevertheless, I'm sure Jay-Z was happy with this song hehe. Check it out.

And it finally happened. Beyonce ended her massive 104-date "I Am.." world tour. She has played across the USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and finally South America where she performed before the biggest crowds of her career. The very last concert was held in the city of Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago. A very emotional Bee can be seen in the footage above, skip to min 4:20 to start seeing Beyonce with a big smile and a few secs later crying. There were even fireworks! in this last show.

Fergie To Go "Rock" On Next Album?

Atleast that's what former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash told recently "Metal Hammer" magazine. Apparently, Fergie Ferg wants to explore her passion for rock music on her next solo album. The follow-up to her 2006 worldwide smash debut "The Dutchess". Can't believe it's been four years since that.

Slash tells Metal Hammer magazine, "I might actually do a rock record with Fergie, because she wants to do a rock record so I might get involved with her on that. She's got this killer rock 'n' roll voice."

Although I'm sure it will be difficult to top "The Dutchess" and what it achieved, I know Fergie will work hard on this next album, and will count with the hottest producers in order to put out a hot one. Now with the "rock" sound, I doubt she will go hardcore rock, it will just probably be rock/pop. But I guess we'll have to wait to see. Fergie's currently on tour with BEP so after she's done with it she'll go straight to the studio.

Rapper Ludacris has premiered the music video for his new single "My Chick Bad" featuring Nicki Minaj - who seems to be everywhere these days - This collaboration serves as the second single from the Atlanta rapper's seventh studio album entitled "Battle of the Sexes". which is expected to hit stores on March 9th.

Not my favourtite Ludacris song, I'm not feeling it right but I'll give a few more spins. There is also a remix to this new single featuring rappers Trina and Eve, they shot the video for the remix at the same time so be on the look in this same entry for that when it premieres. I might like it better than the original.

Jennifer Lopez was one of the international musical guest on the 2010 San Remo Festival in Italy. This is a popular Italian song contest running since 1951 broadcasted by national channel Rai Uno. Jennifer performed a medley of songs in the show, including 5 of her biggest hits ever; "Jenny From The Block", "Waiting For Tonight", "Love Don't Cost A Thing", "Get Right" and "Let's Get Loud". Music industry's new "it girl Ke$ha is currently in the UK promoting her debut album "Animal" - She was spotted on Thursday night performing "Blah, Blah, Blah" on Channel 4's show "Alan Carr: Chatty Man". While in many other countries "Tik Tok" has managed to snag the number one spot on the charts, in the UK the smash hit only peaked #4 and is currently dropping places on the singles chart (also "Animal" debuted at #8) However, "Blah Blah Blah" seems will be hitting harder as with a few weeks from being released it has peaked at #11 and perhaps with the new promotion Ke$ha's doing this might become her first UK #1 hit.

Here's the video premiere for Teen sensation Justin Bieber's new single "Baby" - The videoclip of the R&B/Pop collaboration featuring Rapper Ludacris was directed by Ray Kay - "Baby" is the lead single from his forthcoming album "My World 2.0" (in stores March 23). I'm not a big fan of Justin Bieber's music but keeping it real I have to say I quite like "Baby". It has that something special and it's pretty damn catchy.

The video shot in Los Angeles shows Justin having a good time with some "pals" at a bowling alley. "Baby" is Justin's biggest hit to date as the single has peaked #5 on Billboard's Hot 100.

The video I was expecting from this new tour has leaked. Although it's a short and low quality vid it doesn't matter! Check out the very first REAL (and upbeat) performance of "Telephone". Timbaland and Justin Timberlake get together again for the videoclip premiere of Timb's new single "Carry Out", off his third studio album "Shock Value II". The Bryan Barber-directed video shows a typical theme, hot girls dancing, and Timbo and JT having a great time from that fact. I feel seeing the video it did not count with the same big budget Timbaland's other videos have had ("Morning After Dark", "If We Ever Meet Again") but then again I don't feel this new single needs more than this OK video IMO since "Carry Out" is still a hit. The song has peaked so far #11 on Billboard's Hot 100 and I'm sure the new video will help it go enter the Top 10.

Big news for Jennifer Lopez's fans. Seems Epic Records - J.Lo's label - is not going to let her "Love?" album die (after the embarrasing failure of "Louboutins") and will give the diva latina one last chance. Jennifer will be hosting Saturday Night Live on February 27th on its first series of 2010. She will also be the musical guest that same night where she'll perform her new single "Everybody's Girl". Its sound is fresh, it has sick beats, it's catchy, summing up it has everything to become the hit Jennifer's is desperately looking to save her yet-to-be released album. Come one Jenny, you can do it! The performance MUST BE mind-blowing.

There is no official date for the release of "Love?". In my opinion, it will obviously depend on the reception of the single once it is released after the SNL performance. If it fails, I'm sure the album will get scrapped.

R&B songstress Alicia Keys looks lovely on the cover of the March edition of "Gotham" magazine. 2009 was a great year for Alicia, she got to released a new album "The Element of Freedom" and looks like 2010 will also be a great year for the star. Alicia's singles are doing great on the charts, she achieved her first #1 album in the UK and she's about to embark on a new world tour later in 2010.

Check out this 30 secs preview of Shakira's upcoming music video for her new single "Gypsy" - The clip will feature Tennis player Rafael Nadal as the male protagonist - The shooting took place last week in Barcelona where Shakira shot the English and Spanish version of the single "Gypsy/Gitana". You can see above a clip from the Spanish version. Shakira looks STUNNING! The video premiere is scheduled for next week.

I have to say I love so much more the Spanish version, probably because I like Shakira's singing voice well more in this language. She sounds more confident and seems to feel for real what she's singing. This is why I'm looking foward for her to release a new Spanish album, which might happen this year.

The videoclip for Taylor Swift's fifth single from her sophomore album also entitled "Fearless" has been released today via CMT.com (Country Music Television). The music video contains clips from Taylor's 2009 "Fearless" tour, as well as backstage footage, and performances. The result looks nice although I was expecting an actual "music video" for the song. Perhaps if the new single does good on the charts "again" they'll shoot it. Anyways, Taylor doesn't really need more singles, her sophomore album is a complete success, all her singles have broken records, it's like everything she touches turns gold.
