New Song: Young Jeezy (feat. YG, Kendrick Lamar, & Chris Brown) - 'R.I.P.' (Remix)

R.I.P. Remix

After releasing the video a few days ago, Young Jeezy gives DJ Drama the green light to premiere the official remix of his club banger 'R.I.P.'. Originally, the DJ Mustard-produced track only featured a guest verse from 2 Chainz, but with the remix comes new verses from Jeezy, Chris Brown, and Compton natives YG and Kendrick Lamar. I'm more of a fan of the original version, but can't help to admire Kendrick's verse on this.

"Dearly departed, I bought a plane I departed/ And if you started from the bottom, go on and come out the closet,". These are the Chris Brown lines that have had the Hip-Hop/Rap world buzzing since the release of the song. Although Chris doesn't actually say Drake's name, it's pretty clear that the 'started from the bottom' reference was a shot towards Drake and his new single. Only time will tell if the Toronto rapper decides to send back a response.

On a side note, Chris Brown recently confirmed that Nicki Minaj sent him a verse and will be appearing on his sixth studio album 'X'. Seems strange Nicki would work with Chris, considering her close friendship with Drake. Take a listen to the 'R.I.P.' remix below.
