New Song: Jason Derulo - 'The Other Side'
Miami-born singer Jason Derulo stopped by 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest' on Tuesday morning (April 16) to world premiere his new single "The Other Side". The Dr Luke, and DJ Ammo co-produced electro track serves as the official lead single from the 23-year-old's upcoming third studio album due in stores later in 2013 via Warner Bros. Records.
Last year was a tough one for J.D after breaking his neck during rehearsals for his second headlining world tour - in support of "Future History", which he had to cancel eventually. Jason opted for keeping a low profile ever since, except for a performance on 'American Idol' season 11 finale, and quickly start work on his 3rd LP. That new album still doesn't have a title, but its lead single is already out. "The Other Side" - available for purchase on iTunes now - is a well-produced, well-executed electro-rock track that hears Jason singing lyrics of how two best friends can become lovers. Still, it'll be insteresting seeing Jason nailing all those vocal up and downs in a live performance. But, studio song-wise, "The Other Side" is a solid effort. Radio-friendly, and very fresh. I like!
