J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar's highly-anticipated collaboration, "Forbidden Fruit" has just surfaced online. The hip-hop record is a track featured on Roc Nation J.Cole's upcoming sophomore album "Born Sinner", due in stores June 18. Listen above!
"Forbidden Fruit" samples A Tribe Called Quest’s 1993 classic, "Electric Relaxation". Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar unfortunately doesn't have a verse on the newly leaked "Born Sinner" track, as he only participates in the hooks. "Forbidden Fruit" is dope, but not formidable. And it appears J.Cole either recorded this not too long ago, or recently made a few tweaks to the lyrics, 'cause one lines says; "Imma drop the album same day as Kanye", in clear reference to the "Born Sinner" release date change to compete with Kanye's "Yeezus" album on June 18.
