New Song: Ameriie - 'What I Want'
Now this was totally unexpected! Ameriie (she
added a second ‘i' because it's fiercer) is back in the game as she just
premiered online a brand new single called 'What I Want'. And finally she's
leaving all the 'experimenting' to the side, and she's embracing once again her
funky Rich Harrison-esque beats! (Yey!). 'What I Want' sees Ameriie serving
sultry and irresistible vocals over a sample of Sugarhill Gang’s “Apache”.
Keeping it realistic, 'What I Want' doesn’t
sound like a song that’s going to take radios by storm any time soon, but it’s awesome
to see that Ameriie's finally come to her senses and has decided to return to
her funky music, that opened her the doors to success back in 2005 with the
smash hit '1 Thing'.
We like the vocals, we like the funky beat (Ameriie and Richard need to get back working together though!), and we like the 'ohhhhhh' bits too.
