His VMA performance wasn’t the only surprise on Sunday night, Usher also teamed up with Pepsi to world premiere via MTV.com a brand new track from his forthcoming eighth album “Everything You Can Imagine” (RCA Records). The new music is called "Believe Me", and it’s an R&B ballad produced by Mike Will Made It. RCA hasn’t confirmed yet an official release date for the new Usher LP, but it should be this Fall.

"Believe Me" song review

Crooner Usher is back. The last we heard from his was "Good Kisser" and his return is more than welcomed. "Believe Me" is an R&B track – with a slightly urban influence – where Usher says “I’m sorry” to his ex for the millionth time. Usher did the girl wrong, caused her so much pain – by taking a mistress into their relationship – but now his heart is broken too because he’s realized that girl was "the one". So in a last attempt Usher apologizes to her again. "And it breaks my heart / To know I broke your heart / Believe me”, emotionally sings the R&B star in the chorus of his new song. He really wants her to forgive him because the memories of his mistake are still haunting him.
