New Music: Tori Kelly - "Hollow" [Full Audio / Review]

tori kelly hollow cover

Tori Kelly released today (Oct. 22) a new single titled “Hollow”. “It’s about my relationship with God”, said the “Nobody Love” singer about the new song during a radio interview on New York City's Z100 last night.

Hollow” isn’t included on Tori’s debut album “Unbreakable Smile” that got released in the US this summer and this has quickly sparked the rumor that Capitol Records is planning a re-release of said LP with the potential release date being around Christmas (get those holiday sales, Tor!).

Tori has become a total surprise in the US music industry. I don’t think anybody was betting high on her but then she got hits like “Nobody Love” or “Should’ve Been Us” and now she’s on many “new artists to watch” lists.

Hollow” may not scream “radio-friendly” as much as “Nobody Love” and “Should’ve Been Us” did but I’m sure, knowing Tori’s fans a bit more now, that the undeniable quality of the song will make it a hit in the medium term. “’Cause I’m holloooooow”, sings Ms. Kelly on the chorus of her new single. It’s a pretty short and repetitive chorus, but it’s nonetheless very effective (it moves you so!). I’m sure many will be able to relate to this song. It’s a song that makes you reflect about your life a lot.

Hit or Miss?
