New Music: Tamia - Beautiful Surprise
She's back! R&B singer Tamia celebrates love in her new single "Beautiful Surprise", her long-awaited 'comeback' to the music scene! Man, there's been a void in our hearts ever since she released her last album "Between Friends" six years ago! This gorgeous ballad (produced by Salaam Remi, and co-written with Claude Kelly) sees Tamia unleashing some of her finest 'sweet' vocals, while explaning how happy she is to have her 'man' in her life; holding her, kissing her and making her 'feel alive' in the lyrics. Haters, or 'infidels' as I call them, will probably say "Beautiful Surprise" is BASIC material, but truth is, this is TRUE AND GOOD music, and an example of Tamia's trademark songs, which are 'simple', yeah, but so well-sung, and written that they hit you right in the heart. *plays 'Officially Missing You' and 'Questions'*.
The Canadian songbird's fifth studio, which is also titled "Beautiful Surprise" will hit stores later in 2012 via Tamia's own record label, Plus 1 Music Group. A music video for the first single has been recently shot with Tami's husband, NBA player Grant Hill playing her 'love interest'. In related this, Tamia confirmed the news she was recording a new album two years ago, when she 'came out of hiding' for a free music gig at NYC's Central Park.
