New Music: OneRepublic - "Love Runs Out" [Full Audio + Review]
It's a Sunday afternoon, come on. I was not ready for this kind of slayage!
American rock band OneRepublic is releasing at midnight (that would be Monday, April 14th...) a brand new single called "Love Runs Out". The song is not included on their latest album "Native", so there is a possibility Ryan Tedder and Co. are preparing a re-release. It could also be just a one-off new single for the summer, but we'll see!
Anyway, in early March 2014 during OneRepublic's concert in Amsterdam, band leader Ryan Tedder told the crowd that they had just finished a new song (whose title did not want to reveal yet). The new song was actually recorded partially a year ago around the same time Ryan wrote "Counting Stars". The only problem, though, was that he didn't find the right chorus for the song. But this year Ryan finally got it! He finished and mastered the song. It is called "Love Runs Out", and although he broke his promise of droppin it in mid-March (boo!), the song is here now, with a small delay, but it's here! and it's EPIC.
"Love Runs Out" isn't just good, it's GREAT. It's giving me "Counting Stars" and Adele vibes. It's powerful, 'in your face', the force in the production is brutal, and Ryan's vocals and the way he executes them are standing ovation-worthy. Love everything about "Love Runs Out". Dying to see this performed live! and I'm expecting to watch the song to rise all the way up to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's that good!
