“Younger Now” is a melodic, nostalgic indie-pop-folk mid-tempo song very reminiscing to “Malibu”. We were hoping Miley would release something super different sound-wise for her second single but it seems her sixth album will be filled with songs that will sound very much the same. Hey… at least there’s coherence! “Younger Now” is a beautiful song, though. It’s just that we were hoping for a late summer smash banger…! And as for the “Younger Now” music video, it’s really great. We loved all of the Miley looks, the themes, the support for the trans community, and we especially liked the choreography and pastel colors-filled scenes at the end! Didn’t those remind you a lot to a Meghan Trainor music video?
