Produced by Rodney Jerkins, this is one of the eight 'unreleased' tracks that will feature on Michael Jackson's second posthumous compilation album, also entitled "Xscape", which will be releasing in stores across the world on May 13th, via Epic Records.
L.A Reid is behind this new MJ 'posthumous' project. He got access to the catalog of 'unreleased', and after getting approval by Jackson' estate, "Xscape" was a 'go'. The disc will feature 8 'unreleased' songs that have been 'contemporized' by a select group of producers including; Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon, John McClain and Timbaland. "Xscape" is the only song 'contemporized' by its original producer.
The title track "Xscape" features Michael Jackson singing over a mix of ’70s disco and ’90s R&B. It was originally recorded during the "Invincible" sessions.
Update: It seems the audio below is a MJ demo and not the version that will appear on the album "Xscape". Production will be different!
