New Music: Meek Mill - 'Wanna Know' (Drake Diss)
Meek Mill's response has finally arrived. After Drake set things off with 'Charged Up' and 'Back To Back', the Philly native counters with a diss record of his own entitled 'Wanna Know'. The track, which is produced by Jahlil Beats and Swizz Beatz, was first premiered by Funk Flex on Hot 97.
'Wanna Know' is underwhelming. The rhymes sound rushed and that may partially be attributed to public pressure to respond to Drake and the fact that Meek is currently on tour. There is an interlude from Diddy included as well as a sample of Quentin Miller's 'Know Yourself' reference track. Nicki's ex, Safaree, also has some lines directed towards him.
"I really started from nothing now it’s back to sh*t / Puffy almost caught a domestic when he smacked that b*tch" raps Meek, referencing Drake's past incident with Diddy.
