New Music: Lil Wayne – ‘Glory’

Lil Wayne – ‘Glory’

Lil Wayne has been quiet as of late but makes his return with the premiere of a new single entitled ‘Glory’. The track, which was released via Jay Z’s TIDAL service, serves as the first single from his forthcoming project ‘Free Weezy Album’. Produced by Avenue Beatz, Infamous, and Onhel.

No hook required on ‘Glory’. Wayne gives us over five minutes of straights bars, dropping lines like “I got to get back to the grind and the drawin' board / But all this fuckin' art destroyed, this the art of war” and “My weed louder than underarms and car alarms.”

In total, we receive five verses from Weezy. If ‘Glory’ is any indication of what the ‘Free Weezy Album’ will sound like, expect more of a lyrical vibe over radio-friendly tracks, which is exactly what core fans want. No release date set yet on the anticipated project, but expect it out sometime later this year.

Take a listen to ‘Glory’ below.
