New Music: Lana Del Rey – ‘Ultraviolence’

Lana Del Rey – ‘Ultraviolence’

Lana Del Rey's highly anticipated second major studio album 'Ultraviolence' is just less than two weeks away from release and tonight the 27-year old singer-songwriter gives BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe the green light to premiere the title track. The record was first heard live back in late May at a concert in Vancouver, Canada and this is the full studio quality version.

"He hit me and it felt like a kiss / I can hear violins violins, Give me all of that ultraviolence" sings Lana on the hook. 'Ultraviolence' (the song) is the third record we've heard so far from the album; the previous two being 'Shades Of Cool' and 'West Coast'. The smooth slow track sits at the No. 2 position on the tracklist and was written by Lana Del Rey with the help of Daniel Heath.

Lana Del Rey's 'Ultraviolence' album can be purchased in stores on June 17th via Interscope Records. The project holds no listed features and the standard edition contains 11 records from the New York-born artist. Those who shell out a few extra dollars for the deluxe will receive 3 extra songs (depending on what country). Hit play and listen to the title track below!
