New Music: Lady Gaga (feat. Christina Aguilera) - "Do What U Want" (Studio Version)
Lady Gaga kicks off 2014 with a "smasher". We first heard these ladies perform "Do What U Want" together at "The Voice" Season 5 finale a few weeks ago, and today (January 1), we get to listen to the official studio version of their unexpected duet. Lady Gaga is releasing this "Do What U Want" remix as her new official single. That means buh-bye R. Kelly! The Christina Aguilera duet was released today on Amazon.com.
This is straight up fire. They killed it live, and they killed it in the studio edit. Christina slays her part, and her adlibs are such "LIFE" givers. Love the ending when both ladies scream out their names. Christina's second verse is not actually new lyrics as these come from the "solo version" of "Do What U Want" which Lady Gaga has peformed one or two times in the past. If Christina did it with "Moves Like Jagger", "Feels This Moment" and most-recently "Say Something", I have absolute faith Xtina will save Gaga's butt 'cause "Do What U Want", the original featuring R. Kelly, is just flopping (to my surprise).
Now here's hoping Xtina and Gaga shoot a video for their duet!
