New Music: Justin Bieber - "Flatline"

Justin Bieber Flatline artwork

Justin hasn't covered MKS' "Flatline". This is an original song that the Canadian pop star recording during the "Journals" sessions but opted not included on the final tracklisting. Instead, he's put it on iTunes as "free download", as a gift for fans after he had to delay the release of "Journals" one week. Not bad, huh?. Take a listen to "Flatline" below!

Very in line of the other "Journal" songs. "Flatline" is an R&B-influenced mid-tempo in which JB opens up his heart. Again, the lyrics are inspired by his break-up from fellow pop star Selena Gomez. "She became a victim to my busy schedule / Girl you always catch me at the bad time / How could you pull the plug and let me flatline?", sings on his new song. I'm not sure how Justin expects to be "the best of friends" with Selena after he's based most of the songs on "Journals", and this new one "Flatine" too, on their tragic separation. Certainly she shouldn't feel comfortable being this kind of "muse".
