New Music: Iggy Azalea (feat. T.I) - "We Go Hard"
New Iggy? With one month till T.I's new album "Paperwork" hits stores, The Hustle Gang jefe gave his fans last night (Sept. 19) an appetizer to keep their hunger for new music in check in the form of a new mixtape, “G.D.O.D. 2”. This would be the second mixtape from the Grand Hustle squad after last year’s Get Dough or Die.
On “G.D.O.D. 2”, there’s a new Iggy Azalea song (she’s T.I’s protegée) called “We Go Hard” featuring T.I and Spodee. It’s an urban banger where Iggy gets a verse and is in charge of the hooks. But there's definitely something strange about her voice. After a few listens, I got to the conclusion this is an old record and this is old school I-G-G-Y vocals.
If I were Iggy, I would have asked T.I to allow her to re-record her vocals on “We Go Hard”, especially if he was planning to release it. I mean, she doesn't sound bad, but it’s definitely a bit funny hearing her like she used to do back in the day. Whatever the case, “We Go Hard” is a major bop. She certainly goes hard in the hook.
