New Music: HAIM (feat. ASAP Ferg) - 'My Song 5' Remix
Now this is quite an unexpected pairing! HAIM
are celebrating today, July 7th, their seventh anniversary of being a band
(according to a tweet, their first show was on 7/7/07), and as a treat to fans
they exclusively premiered tonight via Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show 'new music'.

The ‘new music’ is actually a remix to their
“My Song 5” song but what’s most interesting about it is that the remix
features rapper ASAP Ferg! Say what? It’s the truth! I’m not kidding you! ASAP
Ferg's verse is actually pretty neat and it doesn't ruin the song but kind of
blends well with it. I’m surprised!
“My Song 5” is co-written by the HAIM sister
alongside Ariel Rechtshaid. The original version can be found on HAIM’s debut
album “Days Are Gone”.
HAIM have announced that they will be
co-hosting Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show live from the station’s London studios
tomorrow July 8th and that they will be playing the “My Song 5” remix on radio
again.
