New Music: G-Unit - "Come Up" [Premiere]

g unit come up cover

You asked for new original G-Unit music and the hip-hop group has delivered! They haven’t told us yet what’s the title of their comeback album or the exact date they plan to drop it (although they have say "by late November”) but here’s nevertheless new music from it (and possibly the first official single too?). After flooding us with a bunch of covers, G-Unit stays ‘original’ in "Come Up". 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck and Kidd Kidd rap about getting rich and looking fine in the new track.

Review of “Come Up”

I got the kind of success that's hard to measure / Tear the unit apart, put it back together / I'm strong, I ain't mentioning what I'm benching / I'm Merrill Lynching in the mall, I'll blow ya pension”, spits 50 Cent on the sixth verse of "Come Up". Nice flow and good rapping! What more can you ask for? This is a solid record! Oh, and if you are wondering..."Doesn't this sound familiar?”, well, that’s because G-Unit’s “Come Up” samples The Gap Band’s ’80s hit “Outstanding”.

Hit or Miss?
