New Music: Future - "Drunk In Love" (Remix)
Rapper Future takes over Beyoncé's rising hit "Drunk In Love" in this reworked version released online today (Jan. 29) on SoundCloud. "Drunk In Love", produced by Detail, Timbaland, J-Roc and Boots, is the lead "urban" single from Beyoncé's self-titled fifth studio album. The single has, so far, peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
There is no trace of Beyoncé in this remix, it's all Future.
Even though it's obvious Beyoncé's original rendition of "Drunk In Love" will forever be the best version, Future's ain't that bad. Besides all the auto-tune, Future kind of created a moment in this remix. I was really afraid on how Future would sound "singing" the hook of "Drunk In Love" but thankfully the auto-tune prevented a major disaster. The long note, "loooooooove" is in perfect pitch, ha. Also, I wish Future had kept the original second verse, with the "surfboard" lyric.
