New Music: Enrique Iglesias - "Heart Attack" [Review]

Enrique Iglesias unexpectedly sent to radios on Wednesday (Sept. 18) a new song called "Heart Attack". The electro-pop - with dubstep elements - track is confirmed to be the third single to be released from his forthcoming tenth bilingual album. The still-untitled studio project is rumored to hit stores before 2013 ends via Republic Records

"Heart Attack" sounds a billion times better than "Turn The Night Up". The latter, a highly-seductive dance song produced The Cataracs, isn't performing that well for Enrique in the US and has not been very well received by critics. True "Turn The Night Up" has managed to top Billboard's Hot Dance/Club Songs chart, but we cannot take this chart to realistically measure the success of a single. Any artist with a dance song with a fairly good makes-you-wanna-move BEAT, and DJ connections, may top that chart with time.

"Heart Attack" is good song, and should I had been the decision-maker, I would have chosen it instead of "Turn The Night Up" as the first English single from Enrique's tenth album. There's piano, there's guitar, and there's also dubstep in this song, which I wonder if The Suspex produced, because it's giving me some Demi Lovato 'Heart Attack' teas. A tad generic, but I like Enrique's "Heart Attack". The build to the chorus is amazing.
