New Music: Ellie Goulding - "Army" [Full Audio / Review]
What a pretty and touching song! By far one of my favorite songs from “Delirium” to date.
British singer Ellie Goulding premiered today, October 30th, a new countdown single from her upcoming third studio album “Delirium”, which arrives in stores next Friday, November 6th, in the entire world.
Produced by Max Martin, and co-written by Savan Kotecha and Ali Payami, “Army” is a pop mid-tempo with a nostalgic ‘air’ where Ellie sings about having the unconditional support of a personal she cares about a lot. “I know that I mess up / But you never let me give up / You're always there to call up”, says Ellie in the opening lines of “Army”. Although I’m sure the song is about love and partner, I fee like the message of “Army” can be applied to any kind of relationships; say about love, family or a friendship. I just love this message and the way Ellie Goulding sings it. I hear her sing with that angelic voice of hers and I believe it all. When she does that “When I’m with youuuuuuu / I'm standing with an army” in the chorus she just slays my soul. And Ellie takes me up to the heavens above especially with that long “youuuuuu”. Again, what a pretty song!
