New Music: Ed Sheeran - 'The Man'
Ed Sheeran puts on his Eminem mask for this new
track 'The Man'. The half-rapped, half-sung song is the latest individual
iTunes release from Ed’s upcoming LP ‘X’. The British singer-songwriter has
promised to drop a new track each day this week from 'X', and ‘The Man’ is the
fourth track after 'Afire Love', 'Bloodstream', and 'Thinking Out Loud'. 'X' is
released via Atlantic Records on June 23. (It all points out 'X' will debut at
#1, by the way. The HYPE for this album is real!).
We already knew of Ed’s rapping skills, but we had no idea whether he'd wanted to show off his fast-pace delivery skills on the new album 'X or not. Turns out, YES! Ed shows how a fantastic rapper he is in 'The Man'. His delivery is on point, and his lyrics are great. ‘The Man’ talks about Ed losing a lover after he achieved international fame. “But when I broke the industry / That's when I broke your heart”, raps Ed in the second verse.
