New Music Discovery: Allie X - “That’s So Us”
First song I hear from her and I’m already a fan!
Canadian singer-songwriter Allie X premiered a new single called “That’s So Us” a few days ago online - a song that hopefully will be part of an EP or album that the 31-year-old who began her musical adventure participating on TV talent shows in Canada and is now residing in the US and has been releasing music officially since 2014 both independently and backed by Universal is cooking up.

“That’s So Us” is a song that sheds light on how Allie X’s personality is when she's in a love relationship with a guy. Can’t say for sure if this is an autobiographical record but it does sound like an organic and natural story when Allie X sings it.
“What I like about you baby is how you annoy me daily / But you still fucking amaze me / That's so us”, carefreely sings Allie X on the teenager-spirited anthemic chorus of her new single over a nostalgic synth pop production serving vulnerability-filled vocals.
Basically Allie X is sharing with us here the little details that makes the relationship she has with this boy unique. They may have their dark times but in the end they know what they feel for each other is meant to last forever.
