New Music: Christina Aguilera - "The Real Thing" [Full Audio]
It is here. The first of the two country songs Christina Aguilera has recorded for the soundtrack of Season 3 of TV series “Nashville” has been released. Xtina will perform “The Real Thing” tomorrow (April 15) on the new episode titled “Nobody Knows But Me”. Perform? Yes, you read correctly. The Lotus empress has been cast for a multi-episode role portraying ‘pop superstar Jade St. John’. Next week, Britney’s BFF will be performing the second new song “Shotgun” (a ballad) on the “The Storm Has Just Begun” episode. As with “The Real Thing”, the full studio audio of “Shotgun” will be released on iTunes a day before the episode premiere.
While “Shotgun” is going to be an emotional ballad (the snippets don’t lie), “The Real Thing” is just the contrary. It’s festive, powerful, in your face, could I say cabaret-y?, but it definitely still sounds ‘country’ which is the whole purpose of the song, as it has been conceived to be used on a TV series named “NASHVILLE” (Nashville = country music. A no-brainer).
Xtina just goes all out on “The Real Thing”. She doesn’t limit her power vocals, she sounds comfortable, and I just love the sexy message of the song. It just fits “Your Body” songstress Legendtina. What man wouldn’t die to be with her, right?
