The world premiere of Cher Lloyd's brand new single "I Wish" was scheduled for August 31st on 'Saturday Night Online', but in unfortunate news for the British singer, and her label, L.A. Reid's Epic Records, the track in its entirety has leaked online today, that is, two days prior the official launch. Listen now above!
"I Wish" featuring rapper T.I is confirmed to be the lead single from Cher Lloyd's upcoming yet-untitled sophomore album, and follow-up to her 2011 release "Stick + Stones".
I was not expecting this kind of slayage by little Cher! "I Wish" is MAJOR. Featuring an infectious drum-based, thumping beat, a high dose of cuteness, and sassiness, and an incredibly catchy chorus, "I Wish" has it all to become a future smash hit. And I thought it would be impossible for Cher to top the flawlesness of "Want U Back"!
This is so radio-friendly, it's ridiculous. The T.I feature blends in pretty well with the song, so I approve. But again, that CHORUS. That chorus slays lives. The repetitive 'I wish...' lines are already stuck in my brain. I can so picture everybody bopping along to this when hearing it on the radio. You see?. Our Cher Lloyd doesn't need to grow up, she just needs hits like these being handed to her! "I Wish" is out first in the UK on October 14th.
