New Music: Ashley Roberts - "Clockwork" [Audio & Review]
Former Pussycat Dolls Ashley Roberts premiered earlier this week a new single, and it is simply amazing. The chart positions of the new song will depend very much on the effort her label and team put in the promotion, but she has done her part; maturing as an artist and recording a pretty solid new single! Listen to 'Clockwork' below.
To be released on iTunes UK on May 25th, 'Clockwork' is a soaring power ballad that sees Ashley singing 'It’s in my head, it’s in my heart...It’s taking over like clockwork' in the chorus, as strings and pounding drums create a sort of 'epic' atmosphere. In 'Clockwork', Ashley sings about the love of a boy which she just can't wait to receive! Just give it to her, man. Can't you see the waiting (and the 'clock ticking' in her head is killing her?). How could a man make sweet Ashley go through a bad time!?
Anyhow, 'Clockwork' besides being a pretty ballad, it shows how much Ashley's vocals have improved. The Phoenix girl ain't afraid to hit those high notes! Although, we all agree PCD's "Hate This Part" is a pretty flawless tune, Ashley's 'Clockwork' is giving me similar vibes and it ain't too far away from its excellence!
