New Music: Agnes - Don't Go Breaking My Heart
Singer Agnes, aka the Leona Lewis of Sweden, has just unveiled the full version of her brand new single, the disco ballad "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" - With this single, Agnes gears up for the upcoming release of her fourth studio album which will hit European stores in early 2012.
I know most of you already know flawless Agnes, but for those who don't know her, Ms Agnes Carlsson is a popular Swedish singer who got the opportunity for the international break after two albums. She released in 2008/2009 her first international single "Release Me" which ended up becoming a SMASH in virtually all Europe, slaying the Top 10 charts. Months later Agnes released other singles from the "Dance Love Pop" album, but none could match the success of "Release Me". She then took a little break, performed at the Swedish Royal Wedding, and having now re-gained energies, Agnes is ready to commence a new era.
All in all, I think "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" is a good song. It definitely isn't as 'instant' as "Release Me", but just wait till the remixes come and you'll see "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" making an impact in the club scene. As usual, flawless execution by Agnes, she gives Leona Lewis a lesson of how to combine crystal vocals and a techno beat within a ballad, and me especially loving the section from the bridge onwards in "Don't Go Breaking My Heart". Agnes' new single hits iTunes on September 21st.
