New Music: Adam Lambert - "Ghost Town" [Full Audio / Review]

adam lambert ghost town cover

Max Martin can do wrong. He’s produced one fantastic lead single for Adam Lambert. “Ghost Town” is destined for the top of the charts.

The first official offering from the Glambert Nation leader’s upcoming third album “The Original High” (out June 12th) was released on iTunes today (April 21st) all around the world, and it’s been so positively received by all. If you don’t believe me, just take a quick look at what people are saying on Twitter and other blogger’s reviews.

Kiesza vs. “Sparks”

How to describe “Ghost Town” if you’re unable to hear it just yet? It’s kind of a combination between Kiesza’s “deep house” style, and Hilary Duff’s new single “Sparks”. It’s got a pulsating beat (in the chorus, ‘cause the verses have some of a folk-y guitar-based melody), tranquil vocals by Adam (with him singing about James Dean and Elvis, and the fact that he can’t neither go to Heaven or Hell; that being the reason why he’s trapped in a “ghost town”), a killer bass drop, and fabulous whistling (me likes the whistles so much that I think I’m actually obsessed a bit as I can’t stop doing them everywhere I go now!).

I didn’t expect Adam to offer us something so different for first single but I’m glad he did, and that he is taking chances, because I am loving this.

Hit or Miss?
