Dance music's premier female rapper Nicki Minaj visited NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Friday (July 13) for an interview and televised performance...Watch videos now below!
Fiiiiree! I say, F-I-R-E! The carvinal-themed performance of "Pound The Alarm" was incredible! The brand new single off Onika's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" will be serviced to Top 40/Mainstream and Rhythmic radios in the US on July 17 and I'm thinking the Benny Boom-directed and filmed-in-Trinidad music video for it will also debut next week. And I'm hoping more TV performances will follow suit!
Nicki's stage presence has improved so much in the last time. Her confidence, sassiness, and unique unlike-others persona makes performances like the 'Jay Leno' one last night stand out so much. Wearing a nude-colored bodysuit and some feather-like details on the back and legs, Ms Minaj stepped down from a three-story platform to SLAY the stage. Accompanied by a handful of dancers, Nicki danced, jumped and even did a conga line! This "Pound The Alarm" TV gig could perfectly be her best performance TO DATE.
However, Nicki wasn't only there to perform. She also had a sit-down chat with host Jay Leno. There, they discussed about different topics going from her old job as waitress at Red Lobster ("I didn’t want to be there and the customers could tell,” said Nicki. "They always want too much bread. That’s what bothered me. Please, if you go to Red Lobster, stop ordering extra bread.") to her upcoming animated movie debut on "Ice Age: Continental Drift". [Credit: NeonLimelight]
