Music Video Premiere: Katy Perry - "Rise"
Pop superstar Katy Perry dropped on VEVO today (August 4), as previously announced, the official music video for her Olympic anthem “Rise” - Olympic because it will be used by NBC during its 2016 Rio Olympics coverage.
Directed by Paul Gore, the newly-premiered MV shows Orlando Bloom’s hot girlfriend battling a botched parachute, literally. Katy will try to crawl out of it, sprint away, punch the parachute, plus many other desperate things, in a heroic attempt to break free. How it all ends? Update: A reader has point out that perhaps Katy is not actually trying to escape the botched parachute. She apparently is trying to make the faulty parachute to work, so she can use the strong winds to rise up to the sky. Ohhh!
“Rise” had been losing some momentum in the latest days in the US so great timing from Katy to drop the video now. Plus, it is amazing! A very simple yet very effective and powerful concept!
