MØ - "Kamikaze" [Music Video Premiere!]
Did anybody warn MO about the current situation in Ukraine, where insecurity is breathed everywhere and there’s still a civil war going? Apparently, no one, for the Danish singer went to the city of Kiev to film the music video for her new single, the Diplo-produced “Kamikaze”.
Directed by Truman & Cooper, the music video - whose theme seems like a hybrid between the videos of “Lean On” and M.I.A’s “Bad Girls” (it may not have been shot in India nor it features Muslims, but the “air” is just the same) - shows the always quirky MO making friend with dangerous people, breaking into abandoned buildings, sitting on weird furniture, and throwing shade Kim Kardashian’s way (she’s the “Virgin” on the mural). At night, the one to blame for the flop of Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It” single will head to the downtown of Kiev to get into a club, where instead of partying and have a good time, will cause a huge fight.
The best part of the video? The scenes where MO tries to give us choreography (guuuuuuuurl! I died). Cute, though...
