M.I.A Performs "Y.A.L.A" on "Conan" (Video)
The disastrous first-week sales of her new album "Matangi" (debuted at #23 on Billboard with only 15,000 copies sold) aren't preventing Interscope Records from pouring money M.I.A's way. Their latest expense was booking a performance slot for the British rapper on the Wednesday, November 13th episode of "Conan" on TBS. Watch below!
M.I.A entertained the crowd in the studio and the M.I.A fans watching from their homes with a fun performance of her inspirationl, club-banger song "Y.A.L.A" (You Always Live Again), which is M.I.A's response to Drake's "Y.O.L.O" catchphrase.
M.I.A served Sri Lanka festival realness with that brightful, regional prop onstage behind her. And that "airy" dress she wore las night was the perfect choice for the "Y.A.L.A" dance breaks. She worked those arms movements.
