Meghan Trainor’s “Better” Music Video Tells The Sad Story Of A Grandfather & Granddaughter: Watch

What a harsh music video.

What did Meghan Trainor want to convey with it? That her grandfather was like that? I’m confused and kind of concerned.

The pop star premiered the music video for her new “Thank You” single, the Yo Gotti-assisted slow jam “Better”, today (Sept. 15) on VEVO.

The Tim Mattia-directed visual shows Meghan being the granddaughter of this miserable old man who has a problem with alcohol and only knows to get in trouble. And who is there to get him out of jail? Sweet Meghan Trainor of course. When the man is sober he kind of okay but when he goes to the bar and starts drinking, hell comes. At the end of the music video, we see the grandad running away from the police and Meghan breaking down. So hard!

If this isn’t autobiographical like I think it is, why would Meghan give the “Better” music video this particular treatment? She knows the idea of this treatment being real life-inspired is going to pass the minds of her fans after watching it on YouTube, so…

Anyhow, "Better" is going to be another smash for Meghan, I can feel it. It's such a good tune, very sad yeah, but I can't stop listening.

FYI: Damn at those acting skills, girls!
