Matt Cardle - Run For Your Life (Music Video!)
Nine months after winning season 7 of The X Factor UK, Matt Cardle comes foward with the lead single taken from the Essex singer's debut album "Letters" - The track in question is "Run For Your Life", a very emotional and powerful ballad written by Take That's Gary Barlow. I see where Gary wanted to take Matt with this song. It's reminiscing to the sentiments and sounds of Coldplay or Robbie Williams to name a few. I wonder though if Matt was 100% happy with this direction. Anyhow, I personally like "Run For Your Life". Although, doing a quick scan across forums, websites, Twitter, etc, I see the overall reception is not that positive, most people saying Matt's new single is extremely 'dull'. Well, being honest, I had to play it more than once until I finally got into it. So call it a grower. What Matt needs to do now is deliver a stunning live rendition of "Run For Your Life" and then he will shut mouths.
Watch above too the official world premiere of the "Run For Your Life" music video, which came out today (September 5th). OK, I'm a fan of the song but not the video. Very cheap.
