Marina and the Diamonds - "I'm A Ruin" [Music Video Premiere!]
For being a “ruin” Ms. Marina Lambrini Diamandis (aka. Marina and the Diamonds) looks absolutely flawless in the brand new music video she premiered on YouTube today (Feb. 3).
The new single from her upcoming album “Froot” (out in April) is the amazing, and fan-praised “I’m A Ruin”, written entirely by Marina and co-produced by David Kosten. The song lyrics may be sad and most likely written when Marina was going through a difficult time in her life but there’s no denying the melody and especially the chorus and the “ooh-hoo” adlibs are catchy!

Is it just me or does this video gives Loreen “Euphoria” vibes? Must be that ninja-esque tunic Marina wears and the body movements! Oh well. The video is rather simple but it works. Marina looks oh-so-pretty in it, and it seems they shot the MV near a volcano? Because that looks like volcanic soil to me (I could be wrong!).
The “I’m A Ruin” clip basically sees Marina doing her ninja thing and later diving into deep waters and gracefully survive there.
