Wednesday saw the premiere of the music video for the radio/main edit of Mariah Carey's new single "You're Mine (Eternal)". Today, February 14th, the pop diva stopped by BET's "106 & Park" to drop the visual for the official remix version featuring Trey Songz. The television premiere was quickly followed by a premiere on VEVO.
As many were expecting, the music video for the remix is merely an extension of the original one filmed in Puerto Rico’s El Yungue National Rain Forest. Only new thing is there are more Trey Songz scenes. In all of them he's shirtless for the eye-pleasure of them ladies. Mariah doesn't have a joint scene with Trigga unfortunately as we only get to see her (again) getting her sexy on while sitting on a chair, and lying by a lake in the forest.
Many are liking the remix of "You're Mine (Eternal)" with Trey Songz much more than the original single edit. Mariah and Trey make a good "vocal" match, indeed. However, it seems the general audience simply isn't feeling Mariah's new ballad anyway. As of this post, the second single from the big-voiced star's forthcoming 14th LP sits at #55 on iTunes USA. Sure it never reached #1 on its release date, but it was Top 20 at least. But now, #55!?. This is not looking good for Mimi. We need live performances ASAP.
