Mariah Carey Releases Teaser of New Single "Beautiful" Featuring Miguel
Minutes before the latest results show episode of 'American Idol' started on the evening of April 25, pop diva Mariah Carey posted a message on her Twitter profile that read, "The new era begins" along with a link re-directing followers to a video on her YouTube page.
The video was a 26-sec teaser announcing the title of Mariah's upcoming brand new single. This is called "Beautiful" and it'll feature R&B crooner Miguel. The song is set for iTunes release on May 6, the music video was shot by Joseph Khan, and Ms Carey will deliver the single's first live performance on 'Good Morning America' next May 24. Oh, yeah, the new era begins! That teaser is pure cruelty, though. We can't hear anything! Other than finding out "Beautiful" will be a ballad, with a simple bluesy-guitar production. Couldn't she add at least a sung lyric from the song in the teaser?. Gee! In any case, although we can't heart Mariah singing on the track yet, I think it's safe to say Miguel's music will heavily influence Mariah's new single. That mysterious beat makes immediately think of two things: "Miguel", and "classic". The teaser is also basically behind the scenes footage of the music video. We can see Mariah giggling, and sitting on a bike throwing a heel shoe off, and Miguel thinking over in a lonely room.
Here's hoping MiMi truly brings back her A-game in her new "Beautiful" single, and never again disappoint us with stuff like "Triumphant".
